Norwich City @Deepdale 3/1/15

The first fixture of 2015, see the FA Cup takes it's traditional slot, although a slightly expanded weekend with games Friday until Tuesday..
Norwich City arrive at Deepdale in decent form although losing to Reading was not in the script, just outside the play offs in the Championship their main priority will be a quick return to the top league.
Having looked at their squad have to say it is decent, the likes of Hooper, Lafferty and Grabban up front although sadly disappointed that the wonderfully named Von Wolfswinkel isn't with them these days, also not forgetting ex PNE loan Declan Rudd.
It's possible Adams will make changes but they will still be tough to beat.
As for us the only result we don't want is a draw, not to fussed if we lose this one, would be nice to go through but we have other priorities such as the JPT Northern final on Wednesday.

When I saw the side North End had put out today, it just screamed Wednesday was more important than the game today, how wrong could you be, good job Grayson knows more than me. Six changes were made, with Andy Little being the lone forward. City put a fairly strong side out and it looked like it would be a stroll in the park.
The first half was a cagey affair with North End struggling to cope with the slick passing style of the Canaries, slowly the Whites started to push forward and began to look dangerous. Tame efforts from outside the box failed to trouble Ruddy too much as for Norwich Redmond was the danger although they had a decent chance to score when Hooper looked as though he was through however he hesitated thinking he was offside and the chance disappeared.
North End possibly should have had a penalty for handball, it was turned down by Mr Attwell although he gave a similar hand ball shout about a minute later which was outside the box.
Both sides upped the tempo in the second half, although goal mouth chances were few and far between. Reid on the left was causing havoc against the Canaries back line only being let down by trying to beat his man 30 times before crossing.
With time drifting away North End took the lead, a free kick from the left was headed back into the centre by King, the Canaries defence was nowhere to be seen as Gallagher slammed the ball home from about 12 years.
Norwich went to three at the back in an effort to salvage something from the game.
Six minutes from time it was game over, shocking defending aided by some great work by Beckford and Reid who passed the ball too an unmarked Gallagher, in the net it went.
Norwich did not have a shot on target as the Whites ran out deserving winners.
