Paul Hurst - turkeydinner - 30-05-2018 Championship side Ipswich Town have appointed Paul Hurst as their new manager on a three-year deal. The 43-year-old joins from Shrewsbury Town, who lost to Rotherham in Sunday's League One play-off final. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44272857 From what Ive read hardly plays glorious Football so may be Ipswich fans will again have little to sing about RE: Paul Hurst - themaclad - 25-10-2018 Now sacked RE: Paul Hurst - turkeydinner - 25-10-2018 Not surprised, nice giving a young hungry manager from a lower league a chance but hasn't worked this time The board have a colossal amount of looking in the mirror to do, the permanent "Championship fixture" side where anything above relegation is good work isn't enough for the long suffering fans I can see them going for Graeme Murty, Neil McCann or even Monsieur Pardew! Heard terrible things about Hurst, from a tactical point of view, there are rumors even before the sacking of McCarthy returning but I cant see any side allowing that to happen money at the moment is all on Paul Lambert taking over RE: Paul Hurst - Charlie Farley - 25-10-2018 Paul Lambert !!!! Obviously not much choice out there . . . . . RE: Paul Hurst - turkeydinner - 26-10-2018 Not happy on the Ipswich forums I have looked at! I think people are looking at the failures rather than the positives If we remember the career of the Director Wes Craven, it`s Nightmare on Elm street, Scream, last house on the left, the hills have eyes not so many will get the `pointless` answers -A Vampire in Brooklyn, Deadly friend, Hills Have eyes II etc Whilst he didn't keep them up he did a lot at Stoke City to attempt to turn it round, making them better defensively, more cohesive and creating more chances, certainly would be doing a better job than Rowett! Didnt do bad initially at Villa, not helped that the board were almost refusing to spend, at times played some pretty good counterattacking football Spells at Blackburn and Wolves were mediocre Did ok at Colchester and Norwich! |
