Chris Coleman - turkeydinner - 08-04-2018 How long do you give him? Strange decision to move from a perhaps overachieving role at Wales to the huge but suffering Sunderland job Whilst Wales I never thought were a one man team (Although he is fantastic), Wales looked organized fluent and full of tenacity and passion Coleman has come to Sunderland with hardly the best squad inherited and done no better than his predecessor Simon Grayson Goalie has been a problem all season and Lee Camp has been as bad as Ruiter and Steele Defence still not sorted out Bright spots in midfield are young Honeyman and Gooch but cant do everything, Watmore perhaps the clubs standout player out for the season and longer Unless you score you cant win, again the club have no forwards over 21 years of age The football has been largely plan less (attacking ,counter attacking, passing) RE: Chris Coleman - St Charles Owl - 08-04-2018 I didn’t understand why Coleman took the job in the first place. He was on the crest of the available manager wave and jumped into the first hot seat that became available. There were a few PL jobs that would have possibly been within his reach but he opted for the basket case relegated team instead!! RE: Chris Coleman - themaclad - 29-04-2018 Potted on the day the club is sold RE: Chris Coleman - Imre varadi - 29-04-2018 Never rated him tbh ! Wales run itself with bale on fire and as soon as he got sussed that was that ! yet another manager with no plan B ! step up Big mick ???? RE: Chris Coleman - turkeydinner - 29-04-2018 Divided opinions at Sunderland For me I thought Wales looked great at times, certainly the one real WC player but Ramsey/Allen/Williams/Ledley etc all did rather superbly in making that team tick Its a big club, a very big club but a lot of those names are unrealistic for a club in League one, Craig Shakespeare would be my choice from that list and dare i say a name not mentioned Ally McCoist may be interested This is the replacement list Chris Wilder 2/1 Mick McCarthy 5/2 Michael Appleton 7/2 Jaap Stam 6/1 Kevin Phillips 10/1 Roy Keane 14/1 Steve McClaren 14/1 Andy Hessenthaler 18/1 Mark Warburton 18/1 Nigel Pearson 18/1 Ally McCoist 20/1 Brian McDermott 20/1 Craig Shakespeare 20/1 Keith Curle 20/1 Uwe Rosler 20/1 Grant McCann 22/1 Steve Cotteril 22/1 Derek McInnes 25/1 Lee Clark 25/1 Gordon Strachan 33/1 Hannes Wolf 33/1 Kenny Jackett 33/1 Dougie Freedman 40/1 Jon Whitney 40/1 Lee Bowyer 40/1 Steven Gerrard 40/1 Gus Poyet 50/1 Frank Lampard 66/1 |
