Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - turkeydinner - 31-01-2018

Arsenal have signed Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund in a club record £56m deal.

The Gunners had two bids for the 28-year-old rejected by Dortmund before agreeing a fee that eclipses the £46.5m July purchase of Alexandre Lacazette.

Dortmund would only sell after finding a replacement, with Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi to join on loan.

Brilliant player but hardly the area Arsenal need a player, I guess they`ll go for an attacking midfielder or playmaker next?

Arsenal for all their issues have had a decent transfer window. Losing Sanchez was almost a given but they have now brought in Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan plus Ozil has signed a new deal until 2021. Losing Giroud was a minor blow but he was just a bench player now.

Last minute attempt for Johhny Evans! They finally realize a CH is needed
Needs to believe in Holding/Chambers and if so they both need to be England team quality, currently no-one suggesting that they would be

Defensive Midfielder to protect all those Johhny Haynes types has been a must for years

Chambers has gone backwards imo, like most of their other young players, gotta blame the coaching really

Rob Holding hasnt been a regular either

For all Wenger`s success he never had a defensive coach like Don Howe, I read about how George Graham would play the legendary back four with O`Leary as a Libero for hours to perfect that defence, I recall the heyday of great Italian defensive units but nothing compares to GG`s Arsenal team.
