BREAKING NEWS: It’s understood a local businessman has come forward to save Hartlepool United.

He will be meeting the owner next week to talk through a deal and it’s hoped, all being well, he would take over the club by the 24th.

Ridiculous that one player's daily wage could save a whole club from going under. Silly old game.
Anyway, good luck Hartlepool.

This is the way football has gone Snoots and its only going to get worse before it gets better. The whole of the game in every league needs reform. The wages and transfers are obscene and far too high and fans are out priced from attending games as they can't afford it.

Football needs to be affordable and open to everyone not just the few.

Potential investor apparently has pulled out.
