Gogsy announces his final Scotland World Cup group squad v Slovakia, Slovenia! - 0762 - 25-09-2017
Well 'crunch time' is impending for Scotland either being eliminated from the World Cup quali process or 'still hanging on in there'!
Strachan's player squad:
Goalies: Archer, Gordon, McGregor
Defenders: Anya, Berra, Cooper, Hanley, Mulgrew, Robertson, Tierney, Whittaker
Midfield: Armstrong, Bannan, Brown, Fletcher, Forrest, Fraser, McArthur,McGinn, Morrison, Phillips, Ritchie,
Snodgrass
Strikers: Fletcher, Griffiths, Martin
Russell Martin and Steven Naismith dropped but this Scotland team is starting to have a bit of a 'shape' about it although i'm still not sure about Berra v better quality, fast-moving forwards. Lets beat Slovakia at Hampden Park in the 1st match and then one huge 'cup final' in Slovenia with a massive Scottish support travelling over there.

Broony and Armstrong out injured and Magregor finally recognised and called up by Strachan. It's gonna be tough v Slovakia and we need Lady Luck to favour us in the key moments of this crucial WC tie at Hampden Park. Come on Scotland and keep us interested!

And the 'talking' begins with Slovakian players and media being upbeat re their chances to beat Scotland again but this time at Hampden. 'Crunch time' has arrived and they know how important this match is! IMO nullify the influence of their main mid player, Hamsik, and we have a great chance of winning this game. England did exactly that at Wemberley and we must try to do the same 'job' on him.

FT 1-0 AND ANOTHER GROUP 'CUP FINAL' WON BY SCOTLAND AFTER STRIKING THE SLOVAKIAN CROSSBAR TWICE!!! Slovenia 'done' by England and a Harry Kane goal and now their World Cup campaign is over. Another cup final beckons for Scotland in Slovenia and there will be thousands of Scottish fans descending on this Slavic country with a hugely positive momentum driving them on! COME ON SCOTLAND!

We finally got our reward...... looked like it wasn't going to be our night.
Hit the bar twice,their keepers made a string of great saves but late on sparky plays in anya and skrtel deflects his cross home under pressure from martin.
Strachans subs 'come good' and we live to fight another day!

Aye, what a great lung-bursting effort by Sparky to 'send in' Anya into the space to cross and force that Skrtel og. I thought Lady Luck had deserted us but the boys deservedly 'came up trumps'!

Well the other results have worked out our way,so any kind of win tomorrow seals a play off spot.
