Winding up time again - themaclad - 26-04-2017 Apparently they owe £5 million http://www.thisislancashire.co.uk/news/15248160.Finance_firm_pursues_winding_up_order_over___5_million_Wanderers_debt/?ref=rss&utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter RE: Winding up time again - Lord Snooty - 26-04-2017 I thought it was nearly 200 million they owed. Did that get wiped off? RE: Winding up time again - St Charles Owl - 26-04-2017 I think that got wiped off by Eddie Davies when he sold the club, or at least he wiped the bulk of it off. They were lucky at the time that they owed all their money to him and not outside institutions, he was never going to allow them to go under but had stopped putting anymore money in. RE: Winding up time again - Devongone - 28-04-2017 It sounds like Chesterfield, a debt to one man. Except I think Bolton were lucky enough to be in debt to a man who genuinely cared about the club. And they've still ended up in the mire. I worry for Chesterfield both ways - if Allen sells us or can't sell us. For Bolton, if they survive this, would promotion be just another millstone? Months ago they announced they'd be shedding players like there's no tomorrow at the end of the season. Football clubs and their fortunes are so far divorced from their fans these days even when your own club is involved it's like reading about starving children in Africa. You'll give to an appeal, but you'll feel powerless. RE: Winding up time again - themaclad - 11-05-2017 Another two winding up orders against Wanderers, they seem to be collecting them these days. RE: Winding up time again - themaclad - 21-08-2017 Company which owed 37.5% of the club have been wound up, so St Holdsworth another miracle needed admin looming? RE: Winding up time again - themaclad - 10-09-2018 Administration tomorrow? RE: Winding up time again - themaclad - 20-09-2018 Given 5 million by former owner Eddie Davies to bail them out Davies died four days later, suspect next crisis just around the corner RE: Winding up time again - themaclad - 05-10-2018 Yet another winding up order filed on 28/9/2018 Eddie cannot bail them out this time RE: Winding up time again - themaclad - 05-01-2019 Now under an registration embargo on unpaid loans |
