Tommy Gemmell RIP - 0762 - 02-03-2017 Just announced this morning that Tommy passed away peacefully and this great 'character' of that historic 1960-70s Hoops side will be fondly remembered for some of his great long range strikes from his full back position. He did have his wild moments as well v antagonistic S American sides like Racing Club but was generally such a well known character within a great Celtic team. RIP big man! RE: Tommy Gemmell RIP - ritchiebaby - 02-03-2017 A great character and fully committed player with thunderbolt strikes. He would walk into any team. RIP, Tommy. RE: Tommy Gemmell RIP - edgie - 02-03-2017 Sad day when a child hood hero dies RIP Tommy you gave me so many happy times Not many full backs score in 2 European cup finals I did like this one though https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lnja51VticQ RE: Tommy Gemmell RIP - themaclad - 02-03-2017 Black and White TV Lisbon RIP RE: Tommy Gemmell RIP - hibeejim21 - 02-03-2017 Before my time but my auld hibby dad attests to his greatness. He comes from an era where Scottish football was admired around the world. Played for the hibees in a testimonial match and he was still pretty decent. Imagine that hahaha RIP. |
