Bring on the Barca? - 0762 - 22-11-2016

Barca players and officials arrive in Glesca this morn and look like they are on course to qualify for the next stage of the Champions League but can Celtic 'spoil the party'? The hoops are playing reasonably well but IMO if Barca 'show up' at Celtic Pk there's only gonna be one winner in this match.

I'll plump for a joey Barton type 3 goal plus win bet for barca.

Good effort from celtic and they competed well enough, but a pretty comfortable win for barca in the end. Start of the 2nd half barca looked a bit shaky and celtic had a couple of chances but they couldn't do it. Then they conceded a crazy penalty straight after. game over.

First season back in the CL for celtic for a while, and its showed. They have a long way to go before they will be getting out the group stages.

Yep! A comfortable win. I was gonna bet on Messi scoring the first goal tonight but the odds were not as generous as I would have liked - didn't bother! Celtic finally out of Euro footie but the club has still 'pulled' a lotta cash in the process and it prob suits the hoops in their quest to win the 'treble'.

One thing you could say 0762 is that a year ago celtic were a total shambles in europe with deila, under rodgers they are at least organised and play with a more positive game plan. Tactically they got it totally right tonight, they just didn't have the quality to hurt Barcelona.

Aye! Broony taking the same viewpoint this morning that there is a marked improvement in the Celtic team and expecting to be playing again next season in the Champions' League. However, I still see Celtic's success just being CL qualification and nothing more than that. They are one of a group of mid Euro clubs who generally try to broach into that CL mid competitive area, fail again and then occasionally drop down to the Europa League where they don't normally progress to the latter stages.

Aye,in a lot of the groups the top2 seem to be miles ahead of the others.
