Corbyn wins again in spite of the clamour to get rid of him! - 0762 - 24-09-2016

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/uk-politics-37438036

I'm not a Labour supporter but must say I'm still delighted to see this NLP leader winning through in spite of the mass media campaign that effectively does not like left-wing socialists or socialist policies or any threat to the acceptable UK capitalist economic model from that kinda source. In other words, even though we've endured a second economic recession, lets 'go for broke' and move towards the third one anyway with the same kinda sweeping capitalist policies in place that have brought us down before. As for this creepy group of Blairites, who have consistently plotted within Corbyn's political party, well it's great to see them being 'suckered' once again and cringe worthy to listen to their mutterings of being 'willing to serve in Corbyn's new NLP regime if offered to do so'! These people never cease to amaze me and shameless is as good a description of this kinda individual with no real backbone or scruples whatsoever - seen often enough during 2014 and the period of the Scottish referendum!! Thumb down He may be 'unelectable' as has been iterated for long enough, from all the usual sources of info and spin, but it's still satisfying to see 'two fingers' being thrust up in the direction of these kinda antagonists who really tried hard to bring this man down and failed again!!

But if he is unelectable what is the point in it all?? Him being leader of the Labour party will likely see the Tories win another election, not certain for sure but surely part of the whole thing is creating a viable challenge to beat them in the next general election, and they just made that more difficult!!! For me this is a bit like turkeys voting for Xmas again!!

Tell that to the hundreds of thousands of NLP members who did indeed vote for Corbyn and they will present you with a string of reasons why they did not concede to this 'common view' that the man should be got rid of because that's the common consensus within the mainstream media and every Tom, Dick or Charles who wanna join this 'critical bandwagon' for months and months of demonising and all other negative techniques to try and bring this man down because they 'don't like his politics'!!! Well it's clear some people do like his politics. It's not for me by the way but one message I'm receiving from this scenario is that there are a lotta people in the UK electorate who are totally disenfranchised from the UK political system and it confirms they are part of a huge division in political values and hopes for the future. That is the real issue within the country and it aint gonna go away any time soon. We can effectively remove the adjective 'United' from the UK acronym because that's where we are at the current time and a lotta folk are not gonna follow any common logic any more as we've already seen/endured during the recent split EU refendum!!!

yup, labour are now the biggest political party in europe and corbyn deserves a lot of credit for re-vitalising them at grass roots level and attempting to bring more democracy to the party.

For me,as much as he has a lot of good ideas and policy (interestingly owen smith couldn't bring himself to disagree with any of corbyns policy) middle england will never elect a party with left wing politics and it's been that way since the 64 or the early 70s at a push.

It's the media and right wingers saying he's unelectable because he's different and can't be bought. People voted for him because he is honest and he believes in an alternative way.

He has 10 pledges which are:

1. A decent job for all, in a decent economy
2. A secure home for everyone
3. Dignity and rights at work
4. A properly funded NHS and social care
5. Education for all
6. Clean, green energy that we can afford
7. Services run by the public for the public
8. Everyone paying their fair share
9. A Society free from prejudice
10. Foreign policy that promotes peace

He has also wants to renationalise the railways and set up a National Education scheme.

When we had Ed as leader people said he wasn't left wing enough and too much like the Tories or other people said he was too left wing.

"You can please some of the people some of the time all of the people some of the time some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time"

4. A properly funded NHS and social care - Brilliant. And how will this be happening, exactly?
5. Education for all - Well, we already have this. Unless he means *further* education for all, in which case... how, exactly?
6. Clean, green energy that we can afford - Yeah... how, exactly?
7. Services run by the public for the public - Okay, slightly dogmatic in its approach, but no problem.
8. Everyone paying their fair share - If this means "clamp down on tax-dodgers" then brilliant... but how, exactly?
9. A Society free from prejudice - Good luck with that. Haters gonna hate, dickheads gonna dickhead. There are already hate crime laws in place; what more can realistically be done?
10. Foreign policy that promotes peace - Which would be laudable if it wasn't for those pesky theocratic fascists whose stated aim is the destruction of Western civilisation, and the Russian ultra-nationalist in the Kremlin who's casting his tentacles out across the continent as we speak.

If we're going to charge to victory then we need horses to ride, but St Jeremy is promising unicorns instead. It seems a lot of people are still wowed by the idea of those unicorns, but sooner or later it has to dawn on even the slowest individual that we're all sat around in the mud and those unicorns are never going to come.

For years, people have been saying they won't vote because all the parties are the same. Well now you have a choice.
An uncaring Conservative party or a different Labour party with proper left wing policies that don't just benefit the rich.
And who says that Corbyn is unelectable anyway? The right wing media. Maybe true, but can you name one Labour politician who could lead the party to an election win? No, because even if Smith had won yesterday, he would not have had any chance of winning a General Election. The SNP have seen to that. They're the ones who have got us stuck with a generation of Tory governments.
We can't beat the Tories in England without a united United Kingdom.
What are the aims of the SNP? Are they UKIP in a kilt? Please explain, cos I don't know what it is you're actually wanting.

He will clamp down on Multi-National companies and make them pay there tax. £35 billion goes uncollected in tax a year. Think what that could do it our public services and infrastructures.

There are people out there really struggling. There's 900,000 zero hour contract jobs, people are going to foodbanks because they can't afford to buy food as they've had there benefit sanctioned or aren't getting enough hours at work. The NHS is on its knees as the funding isn't being put in. Homelessness in on the rise.

Do you dislike Labour Ska?

How? You don't just wave a magic wand and make them cough up their tax. There has to be a strategy for approaching this. What is it, exactly?

Yes, I'm well aware of all of this. And the only way to fix it is to be elected to government. And the only way to be elected to government is to have a competent leader capable of articulating precise and realistic policies. Not platitudes. Policies.

I'm a lifelong Labour voter from a family of trade unionists. My uncle was a shop steward. The overwhelming majority of my friends are Labour members. Some are Labour councillors. An old, old friend (who I admittedly lost touch with) is now a Labour MP and is currently serving in Corbyn's shadow cabinet. For me to dislike Labour would be to dislike everything that I am, and everything that I know.

I don't know what the strategy is but they need to come up with one quick because if the Tories call a general election in the Spring it could be a thrashing.

If the Tories get Brexit wrong and don't have an election till 2020 it could hurt them.
