Moyes - a very good option? - Stairs - 11-08-2016 Well I like him. Not yet really bought in players for new season but seems to be trying and supported by club. Man Utd treated him badly but have Sunderland got the patience to let him build? RE: Moyes - a very good option? - themaclad - 22-05-2017 Potted or resigned not therenow RE: Moyes - a very good option? - St Charles Owl - 22-05-2017 Resigned without taking compensation for the remainder of his contract. That would suggest he is looking to get back into management immediately and doesn't want any issues surrounding compensation to be an obstacle. Question is where will he go?? Prem? Not sure there are any clubs in the PL that will turn to him, so either abroad again or maybe one of the bigger championship sides?? RE: Moyes - a very good option? - Amelia Chaffinch - 22-05-2017 What's so great about him? Does he think he's too big to manage a championship side? In a league where success is judged on finishing in the top 4 and silverware, is he a success and who would want him in the premiership? RE: Moyes - a very good option? - Lord Snooty - 22-05-2017 Most over rated manager ever. RE: Moyes - a very good option? - themaclad - 23-05-2017 Disagree Snooty excellent for us, did a good job at Goodison, think was sold a duff hand at United now going to be difficult to get a top job now RE: Moyes - a very good option? - St Charles Owl - 23-05-2017 (23-05-2017, 16:52)themaclad Wrote: Disagree Snooty excellent for us, did a good job at Goodison, think was sold a duff hand at United now going to be difficult to get a top job now I agree with that, he kept Everton relevant when they had very little money for transfers etc. Man Utd were at the end of an era when SAF left and Moyes was left trying to pick up the pieces. Their inability to get back nearer the top since then shows what he was up against in the first season. Sunderland hasn't been good for him, but I think he is a manager that would need a few seasons to turn a team like them around. |
