Steve Clarke sacked - silverbaggie - 04-12-2015

Sorry to hear that Steve but, I guess that your decision to talk to Fulham about their Managerial vacancy was the final straw.

Not the best record with Reading but, at least. they are in ninth place so not in immediate relegation danger.

Makes you wonder what the Royals and Clubs like them expect of their Managers!

RE: Steve Clarke sacked - tidy - 04-12-2015

He was a 'dead man walking' after doing the dirty on Reading and talking to another club mid-season.

He was always going to need some pretty seriously good results after that. He (they) didn't.

Another 'B' list manager fliting from one desperate situation to another.

RE: Steve Clarke sacked - Devongone - 04-12-2015

Reading've been in the top three this season and looked set for the play-offs without having splashed the cash.

There aren't any British managers on the A list.

If you looked at a job offering you more money and then either didn't get it, or decided you didn't want it, would you expect to be sacked from your current job for having looked? You'd be claiming unfair dismissal.

Would you have said the same if it were the Real Madrid job he'd been linked with?

Reading will be hard-pressed to come up with a better manager.
