will be interesting to see the views of the teams, fighting to win the SPL, their views on a potential game between Celtic and Dundee in the USA, surely having a Stadium filled almost 100% in a neutral ? stadium with your fans gives you sporting advantage.

As far as i can see it's dundee's american owners who are driving this.
It won't happen anyway. Surely FIFA would object? Then again FIFA might be gone shortly

I know it is a likely non starter, however there is no doubt the "bigger" team would have a Sporting Advantage, as if the game was played at the "small" teams ground the crowd split would be close to a 50/50 split of fans, however in the good old USof A it would be a crowd split of about 99.9/0.1 split of the fans in favour of the "Big" team

Both clubs want it to happen it would seem so what does the crowd split matter ? i can't see there being huge interest,even if all the authorities said they were happy about it.
If celtic and rangers had gone out there in all their pomp with larrsson,laudrup etc i could maybe see the point but celtic v dundee now ?? James mcpake and izzaguirre ? Naah.

As hibbejim says, it's Dundee that seem to be pushing for this, or at least floating the idea.
I think it's doomed from the start, FIFA/UEFA wouldn't stand for it as it would globalise football in a way they wouldn't be able to control. You'd end up with EPL games being held in Asia etc., with the only benefactors being the clubs or associations involved.
I don't think it's a Pandora's Box that they particularly want to open.
People will argue that the NFL do it, hosting regular games in the UK, but that sport is dominated by - run by - and participated in by only one country. There's no external market that the NFL can impinge upon. The rest of the world is an open book for them.

While we're on the NFL, as an aside, I find it remarkable that there are no amateur teams, no rural leagues, no pub leagues at all in that sport. You join your High School team, if you're lucky you get to be one of the 3-4% of players that then make their College teams, then you get to be one of the 7% who get drafted to an NFL team. If at any point you don't make the grade, there's no fall-back, there's no lower league to play in, there's no other route into the senior game That's it, you're done. You never play that sport again.
As I said, I find that remarkable.

What sporting advantage is gained by having the larger percentage of the crowd?. Utter bollocks of an argument TBH.
