Relegation battle...... - Stairs - 11-09-2014

Everyone had you as certain contenders for the drop after the garage sale of players but so far, early days accepted. It looks like there is a quality team in the making.

How did you feel before the season started and how do you feel now?

Even with the losses of the squad theyve retained Schinderlin, Clyne and Rodriguez
add Forster, Alderweireld and Bertrand it dosent look so bad, they paid over the odds for Shane Long and much depends on whether they can gel, I rate Koeman as a manager but was a hard role to walk into

In many ways Cork was the heart of the team last season and he's still there. For me the sale of Lovren was going to be their biggest problem, followed by Lallana. The others could all be replaced one way or another. Alderweireld should do the job for now in defence and Tadic might be an adequate replacement for Lallana, so overall I don't really think they're much weaker on paper. Koeman looks like he'll do a good job with them too.
