I held off doing a match thread all day waiting for a confirmation, and when I finally gave up, they went and confirmed it while I was posting the thread
I'm normally a "look forward, not backwards" kind of bloke, and I guess it's no secret that he wasn't our first choice during the process, but once the front runners fell through I think it's a better pick than pretty much anyone else touted for the role. I'm sure he still commands the respect of the majority of fans, in spite of the circumstances of his last departure, and I hope that'll keep the sense of positivity-despite-adversity around the club that Corberan created in his two years here.

The best football that I've seen at the club in my lifetime was under Mowbray.
I have fond memories of his football. Even more so with the dross we have served up, generally speaking, in the past decade.
I loved his mantra. Home or away, rain or shine, you knew we would serve up attacking, free flowing football with the intention of winning the game.
Circumstances are different this time around. The personnel is nowhere near as talented as what he inherited last time around. But he showed at Sunderland and Blackburn that he can still do a good job with more financial and quality limitations.
If he's the same manager as he was, I think he will get us playing good attacking minded football. I think we will be more expansive away from home. I think he will get the best out of attacking talents like Mikey Johnston and Fellows. And perhaps most importantly given our financial struggles, I think we will be an attractive proposition for Prem loans with Tony's proven track record of trusting and developing technically gifted young players, like he did with Amad at Sunderland.
I just hope all is okay with his health. It's pretty much as stressful a job as you can get and he's going to need plenty of time to get us anywhere near the side we were in his previous reign.

I agree, Slick, I’m delighted he’s returning and believe he has so much to offer. You mentioned Johnston and Fellows but I’m also hoping he can spark others such a Diangana and Swift, both of whom I believe have real talent but who have been distinctly underwhelming in their performances. Mogga will do a bit of wheeler dealing I'm sure. I expect Fellows and Johnson to flourish, Wallace, Swift and Grady are all on borrowed time.
We already have a couple of vacancies to fill.
Interesting times ahead. I honestly believe Mogga will turn our draws into wins with positive attacking football.

I think you're partially right, BB - I really think we'll be much, MUCH more on the front foot, and TM will turn some draws into wins.... and some into defeats.
But that suits me down to the ground - having a go, and the points reward will/should be better, even if it's 50/50!
