Peter Cormack RIP - 0762 - 12-10-2024

Peter Cormack was a Hibs legend who had a huge element of charisma about him - well known to an older generation of Hibs fan who witnessed some of his great moments with HFC, including that famous 2-0 win (and his cracking goal!) v Real Madrid (the great Puskas et al wearing their strikingly impressive gold strips!) in the 1960s, before heading south in 1972 to play in the English 1st division. Great times and a great football career. RIP.

He was a gifted player who gave everything to the teams he played for. Despite his awkward, gangly running style, he was deceptively elegant and composed.

First became aware of his talents at Liverpool through my Sister In Law who is a big reds fan and when I saw him playing against Villa. Very talented and skillful player.

Sad loss and thoughts are with family and friends. RIP

He was a fabulous player and deserves all the accolades he's received. As Ritchie says his languid style could look a bit awkward but he was hugely skilful with the ball at his feet.

RIP
