QPR have signed left-back Kenneth Paal on a three-year deal from Dutch side PEC Zwolle.

The 24-year-old joins on a free transfer after the termination of his contract with the club following their relegation from the Eredivisie.

Paal came through the youth system at PSV Eindhoven and said he is "very excited" to join the Championship side.

"I am looking forward to the competition, the stadiums and the big games," said Paal.

QPR boss Michael Beale said the defender will give the club "lots of quality and versatility on the left side of the pitch".

"He comes with an excellent CV and, importantly, with a huge desire to play for our club and to push his career onwards," added Beale.

Paal is QPR's second signing of the summer following the arrival of free agent Jake Clarke-Salter, on a four-year contract.

Championship side Queens Park Rangers have signed Wales forward Tyler Roberts on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy.

Roberts played 26 times in all competitions for Leeds last season as the side narrowly avoided relegation from the Premier League.

The 23-year-old becomes new QPR boss Michael Beale's third summer signing.

QPR have brought in English centre-back Jake Clarke-Salter and Dutch left-back Kenneth Paal on free transfers.

Roberts said: "I'm very excited. At this stage in my career, I want to play as many games as I can and this is a great club to come and do that at.

"I can feel the buzz around the place ahead of the new season with the new gaffer."

Beale added: "I am delighted to bring Tyler in. I spoke with him about his future. He had a lot of other offers but he wanted to come here which was massive.

"He fits our profile really well. He is very flexible, is at a fantastic age and already has excellent experience."

Defender Ethan Laird has joined Queens Park Rangers on a season-long loan from Manchester United.

The 21-year-old right-back spent the second half of last season on loan at Bournemouth, where he made six appearances, and previously had loan spells at Swansea City and MK Dons.

"It feels brilliant and I am delighted to get it over the line. I can't wait to get started," he told QPR's website.

"I just want to kick on and I feel I am at the perfect place to do that now."

R's boss Mick Beale has been keen to add a right-back to his squad since taking over at the Championship club earlier this summer.

"I like the full-backs to be an addition to our attack, and he provides that," said Beale.

Queens Park Rangers have made the deadline day signing of teenager Tim Iroegbunam on loan from boss Mick Beale's previous club Aston Villa.

The 19-year-old midfielder has moved to West London on a season-long deal.

Iroegbunam joined Villa in July 2021 after coming through the youth system at neighbours West Bromwich Albion.

"We have been chasing him all summer and have had to be really patient but I want to thank (Villa manager) Steven Gerrard and his staff," said Beale.

"I know they have got really high hopes for him," added Beale, who was a key part of Gerrard's backroom team when he followed him to the Midlands from Scottish giants Rangers last season.

"I knew QPR would be a good team to come to," said Iroegbunam. "I was with the gaffer last season and I know he likes to play football. That attracted me. We got on well last season and I am looking forward to rebuilding that again."

He joins a Hoops side lying ninth in the early season table, after losing just two of their first seven games.

Championship side Queens Park Rangers have signed former Bristol City striker Chris Martin on a deal until the end of the season.

The 34-year-old became a free agent after leaving the Robins on transfer deadline day.

"I'm looking forward to this opportunity," Martin said. "I can contribute goals, link-up play and be a focal point up the pitch."

Martin scored 15 goals in 88 Championship games for Bristol City.

"I have been in a few battles over the years myself, so hopefully I can impress on some of the lads the experience I have managed to pick up and try to help some of the younger players and the lesser-established in this division understand what it takes," he added.

QPR are 14th in the Championship table, having won only one of their past 14 matches.

Head coach Neil Critchley believes Martin's experience will extend beyond the dressing room.

"He's a very good footballer, he has excellent technical ability and he knows his game. He brings a physical presence to the top end of the pitch.

"He also has that experience so he knows what is required during the game, he has that know-how and nous."
