An article from 3 years ago on Schneiderlein - http://www.givemesport.com/371925-why-morgan-schneiderlin-is-perfect-for-manchester-united

Would be chuffed with Schneiderlin but can see other teams such as Everton, Southampton, West Ham and so on coming in for him now we've made the move.

As for who to leave out for him, I'd happily see anyone dropped. He's a step up on our entire central midfielder roster. This is a midfielder who during his time at Southampton made the most tackles and interceptions in the Premier League. He passes the ball better, is more mobile and chips in with more goals than both Yacob and Fletcher.

If this is the level of player we are going for, happy days.

I prefer our old policy of not commenting until the deal's done. It only goes to depress you when other Clubs trump us and the deals fail on the last day. We've seen that the West Hams don't have any Scouts - they just wait to see who we're linked with!!
The best players only sign for the big money - then they look at the Clause which says "Salary will reduce by 50% if the Club's Premiership status is not maintained" (or words to that effect).

RE: 2016/17 - WBA January Transfer Window - BaggieMan - 24-12-2016

I wouldn't mind betting that the very public announcement regarding our interest in Schneiderlin is just a smoke-screen to hide our real target and throw the likes of West 'Cuckoo's' Ham off the scent until the business is concluded. Not like the Baggies to announce their plans in such a public way.

RE: 2016/17 - WBA January Transfer Window - Beefy 1965 - 24-12-2016

Yeah suspect we realise he will probably go to Everton so there is a plan B in there somewhere, that is actually a plan A,

Maybe a revisit to Spain and Camacho Huh

RE: 2016/17 - WBA January Transfer Window - HRK - 25-12-2016

Personally I would prefer that we signed cover for Rondon over Schneiderlin - he's a good player but we're incredibly light up front if Rondon picks up an injury. January is always more for clubs that are struggling imo but if we can get the right quality in and not overspend, then why not.

Always a good sign when we are getting players off the payroll. Usually means someone's coming in... Thumb up
