RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (31st Aug) - Squirrel Regis - 31-08-2015 Drewks, Not sure if the thought of JP being held hostage and tortured in the boardroom for transfer cash actually appeals to me a little bit... RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (31st Aug) - drewks - 31-08-2015 Ignacio Camacho from Malaga now linked. Josh?? RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (31st Aug) - HarryJAllstarWBA - 31-08-2015 Looking forward to the meltdown when we sign Walters RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (31st Aug) - Dingle-Dingle - 31-08-2015 Sky Bet have slashed the odds on Charlie Austin joining Crystal Palace from 16/1 to 2/1 this evening. The QPR striker’s future has been much discussed all summer but it looks like it could be a nailbiter regarding which club he joins – if any – on Deadline Day, with Bournemouth still favourites to sign the former Burnley man. They can be backed at 7/4. DD WALTERS HANDS IN REQUEST Stoke forward Jonathan Walters has handed in a transfer request, according to Sky sources. The Potters rejected two bids from Norwich for Walters last week, with the latest offer worth £2m. We understand Walters, who has a year left on his current Stoke deal, has been in talks for several months with the club, but those discussions have broken down over the length of contract on offer. DD Mark Hughes says nothing should be read into his decision to axe Jon Walters from his Stoke matchday squad at West Brom just days before the transfer deadline. Speculation continues to link Walters with a Tony Pulis reunion at the Baggies. DD O'NEILL ON WALTERS Here's what Republic of Ireland manager Martin O'Neill said about Jonathan Walters earlier after he was given permission not to join up with the rest of the squad in Dublin today. "There may be something happening tomorrow, he wasn’t completely sure and there was little point him coming here and then having to travel back. "He is not sure at this minute, but while there is a possibility of something happening he sees it until the deadline finishes. TP bringing in his Sjokie mates. Sorry to see Ideye go - don't think he was really given a chance. Would have much preferred Sicknote to be moved on. RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (31st Aug) - WBA Will - 31-08-2015 I wouldn't be too happy to see Walters arrive. I don't like signing people as "4th choice" or what have you, we should be looking at players who can improve the starting line up, which Walters definitely wouldn't. Plus it would be an even clearer sign that TP has zero intention of playing good, attacking football, just sticking to the "lump it up to the big man" approach.
