Thanks for not taking the piss out of me for the Jays losing the ACLS. Whistle

Must be because you saw that Amish kid catch that ball when it hadn't crossed the wall. The little bugger was caught on camera and he definitely stuck his hand out over the playing area which means it should have been ruled a ground rule double not a home run. When the sod was interviewed he lied through his teeth. Angry Angry Angry

And that turned out to be the difference in the ball game

So the cheating KC Royals will lose the series to the Mets.

And I move on to hockey now. Thumb up

Go Habs. Thumb up

Kansa City have won games 1 & 2, now the World Series moves onto New York for game 3 Friday night.

Your Habs have started fantastic, 9-1 after 10 games, my Dallas Stars have started well too 7-2.

So KC has won the World Series. Well good luck to them. Understand game 5 was a bit of a fluke and the mets did what the jays did..fold in the later innings. I said before that the reason why KC won those games was one word....BULLPEN!!!!! Whistle Whistle Whistle Whistle Whistle

Had a lovely day in Blackpool yesterday (apart from the Wednesday score that I accidentally overheard). Even went up the Tower for the first time. I'm not great with heights but better than Mrs. Jacko who I had to leave on terra firma. Anyway I made it to the indoor platform ok but my legs were quivering. Managed to get to the sides and take some pictures of the stunning views but I couldn't bring myself to stand on the glass floor and look straight down. I did do that in the Stratosphere tower in Vegas about 14 years ago but I think my vertigo is getting worse with age! Anyway, I did manage to go up one more flight yesterday to the first open air deck. It was a bit cold and breezy and I didn't linger (or go too near the edge)! Was very glad to get back to the bottom but also glad to have been up.

Doing stuff like that reminds me to not be too judgemental when other people tell me they're scared of this and that. Won't stop me taking the mick out of them though!

Anyway, is there any baseball or food or summat else we can talk about. I've given myself the heeby geebies thinking abou those heights again!

Sorry Jacko, baseball is gone until April over here. Everyone has now turned their attention to the NFL season. American Football is by far the biggest sport over here! College football is also running at the moment. Watch a college game yesterday, Alabama at home to Louisiana State, 95,000 in attendance, so that is right up there with the professional game!!

When SCO says "over here" he means "America" as in the US.

NFL not that big in Canada.

We're hockey fans. Whistle Whistle Whistle Whistle

NFL is not big in Canada because it's not played in Canada!!  Of course you have the CFL, but that just seems to be a bunch of yanks who couldn't make it in the NFL.

As for hockey, love the game but don't follow it this early in the season.  Only start to take an interest in that after the NFL is done in February.

Used to watch NFL highlights on C4 on Monday nights back in the day. Can't give up enough time to watch a full live game these days but I do still look out for my favourite team from back then, the Skins. A bit like Wednesday there hasn't been much to shout about for the last 15 to 20 years!
