(Express and Star) DDI'd forgotten about him. RE: 2016/17 - WBA January Transfer Window - HRK - 18-12-2016 We definitely could do with signing cover/competition for Rondon in this window I feel, plus a creative midfielder to keep Morrison/Fletcher on their toes. RE: 2016/17 - WBA January Transfer Window - drewks - 18-12-2016 Morgan Shneiderwotsits? Saw a rumour before - is this an indication of the new owner's efforts to get us up into the next league, so to speak? https://ninetyminutesonline.com/west-brom-make-club-record-24m-bid-offer-impacts-everton/ RE: 2016/17 - WBA January Transfer Window - Baggievicar - 18-12-2016 Well I hope he's good enough, if that's true. How does he stack up against the Carvalhos and Camachos of this world (and of summer rumours)? RE: 2016/17 - WBA January Transfer Window - Dingle-Dingle - 21-12-2016 West Brom are set to sign Aston Villa's 28-year-old Benin striker Rudy Gestede for £7m in January, with Villa lining up Brentford forward Scott Hogan, 24, as a replacement.(Sun) Hull will try to sign 27-year-old Ecuador forward Jefferson Montero from Swansea if they lose 29-year-old Scotland midfielder Robert Snodgrass to West Brom.(Mirror) Manchester United's England winger Ashley Young, 31, is being targeted by Watford, Everton, Swansea, West Brom, Burnley and Hull. Rudy Gestede and Ashley Young, fantastic! All of a sudden, Hal Robson Kanu looks like an inspired signing. Let's just put in a bid for Agbonlahor and make it a trio to rival Messi, Neymar and Suarez. I'd just like to see ambition, talkSAFT. We hear stuff from the players about pushing onto Europe but we seem to think that will be achieved by a Villa reject and a past it ex Villa player. I'm not sure if these are Pulis' choices but, if they are, it concerns me that he judges these players as providing additional quality to what we have. It smacks of "on the cheap/get a good deal/bargain basement" on players who are clearly surplus to requirements at their existing clubs. If you can't get in the Villa team with their lack of strike power, you must be a donkey. Maybe others on this board have seen something in Gestede that I'm missing...either that or he's keeping it incredibly well hidden.
