RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (26th Aug) - silverbaggie - 27-08-2015 On a different note ' It seems that Leicester are making serious enquiries concerning the Blues winger Demarai Gray whose contract has a buy out clause in excess of £4M. An exciting young prospect and another one getting away! RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (26th Aug) - Stairs - 27-08-2015 "Squeaky Bum Time" 1. Will Spurs bid one final time for SB? 2. If they do will we accept it? 3. If they do will we be able to get Charlie Austin in to replace him or end up a striker down? Negative thinking suggests: a. We do not sell SB and end up with a less than passionate striker for the season b. We sell SB but fail to get a replacement in before the window closes (Spurs rumoured to place final bid on last day of window) Positive thinking suggests: i. JP holds out for £25m from Spurs and maintains his ruthless reputation for bargaining ii. We reveal a super striker deal that no-one had seen coming iii. Or we smoothly negotiate Austin and Philips from QPR for less than the current expected asking price Who bloody knows - I just wish, like TP, that the transfer window was over and we could get on with things. RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (26th Aug) - BC Baggie - 27-08-2015 Kevin Nolan is now a free agent........ RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (26th Aug) - Dingle-Dingle - 27-08-2015 United have told potential suitors for Jonny Evans that they must pay £12m to sign the 27-year-old Northern Ireland defender, who is in the last year of his deal. (Daily Star) Tottenham have reservations about making a third bid for 22-year-old West Brom forward Saido Berahino. (Sky Sports) West Brom have told Spurs they will not sell England Under-21 international Berahino unless their £25m asking price is met. (Daily Star) Former Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is convinced that Berahino will move to White Hart Lane before the transfer window closes. (Talksport) If `Arry says it ....... it must be true. DD RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (26th Aug) - Salopbaggie - 27-08-2015 As many will know I have been harping on about trying to sign Gray for over 12 months now and will be well annoyed if Leicester sweep in and get him for a song, £4million would be a steal for that lad. Still has some learning to do but well worth £4 mil. I will be even more annoyed if we do pay anywhere near £12 million for Evans. Todays rumour mill has it Everton are seriously looking at him as a replacement for Stone if (when) he heads of to Chelsea. RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (26th Aug) - May68 - 27-08-2015 I know TP has a track record of buying average players for big fees, but I really hope he doesn't go for Jonny Evans, especially if it's going to cost £12 mil. I think I may also be in a minority here who doesn't particularly rate Charlie Austin. Most of his goals are scrappy tap-ins and penalties. He's a good poacher but he doesn't create chances for himself. He is a centre forward and we already have 3 or 4 of these, and given that 5 in midfield is generally more effective for us that means we can only play 1 CF at a time. I think if we sell Berahino we need to replace him with a central attacking midfielder. Could not agree more. Even at £20 mil for SB that would buy us 2 decent FB and a half decent attacking midfielder and we would still have enough left for Gray from Blues. RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (26th Aug) - Worldclassalbion - 27-08-2015 The news that Berahino has 'unfollowed' Albion on Twitter has made me laugh. What a stupid childish knobhead FFS. Sums him up, a brat. Ship him out he's never worth £20m RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window (26th Aug) - Beefy 1965 - 27-08-2015 Tick tock ................. Days to go now Pulis two weeks ago promised a host of changes and exiting incomings........... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm However he did also say a lot of names they were after were not even mentioned in the press ? Good job gone very quiet on the rumour front apart from Evans ..... So whats going to happen guys ? He'd be good for Wolves. And Jonny Evans is never worth £12 million. I don't recall him doing that well when he was on loan at Sunderland. |
