RE: 2014-15 Second Half & January Transfer Window - peiowl - 16-03-2015 So, May is good enough to be named to Scotland squad but not to play regularly for Sheffield Wednesday. He comes on as a sub, misses a "sitter" (how unusual for an Owls striker, but everyone seems to be focusing on that!! ) then scores a goal. I guess this must make sense to somebody but not to me!! RE: 2014-15 Second Half & January Transfer Window - Towinjustonce - 16-03-2015 If May can score 1 from the 2 attempts he gets, I'd be happy with that. He just doesn't get the service or the fookin game time. RE: 2014-15 Second Half & January Transfer Window - Statesideowl - 16-03-2015 Scotland are shite to be fair, no one can walk in to their squad, but it's not hard to break in to either. May took one of his chances (coming from the bench) the other day and scored, since his confidence has run low he has definitely lost his edge. Nuhui plays consistently, and while he has the confidence he is one of the worst strikers I think I've seen. He's as skinny as a pole and twice as thin! He makes Peter Crouch look like the Hulk, if Crouch can stand up on his toothpick legs why can't Nuhui? Madine's never coming back so we won't know what he brings to the current squad. Players STILL playing out of position while more suitable players remain either unselected or on the bench. Personally, all I'm seeing is endless mistake and/or poor decision by SG. After 30+ games of it I can also see some very unmotivated, fed up players. Some of which know they're offmans in a few months... RE: 2014-15 Second Half & January Transfer Window - Thurnscoe_OWL - 16-03-2015 we need 2 wingers so we can stop playing people out of position, until then it is square pegs (and any other cliché we can throw about), these for me have to be 3rd priority behind McGugan and Loovens (these 2 could be wrapped up in a day as well), only then should we go for new strikers because there's no fu cking point without the service for them RE: 2014-15 Second Half & January Transfer Window - Maddix - 16-03-2015 (16-03-2015, 15:10)peiowl Wrote: So, May is good enough to be named to Scotland squad but not to play regularly for Sheffield Wednesday. Maybe it's a bit tongue in cheek because all you ever seem to post about nowadays is Nuhiu's shortcomings RE: 2014-15 Second Half & January Transfer Window - St Charles Owl - 16-03-2015 Well if Keane is out I would assume that May is about to get back into the starting 11, after that its up to him to get his chances on target and force the keeper to make a save, if he does that he will score more often than not!! He does seem to be snatching at his chances, but players low on confidence do that so we shouldn't be surprised. He is definitely fighting for his reputation and ultimately his place in the team not only now but next season as well. It's called the "beating your head against a brick wall syndrome," Maddix. There's no cure for it, actually. You see, it's the brick wall that has to be taken down. May has had his confidence shot to shit by SG by benching him & preferring Nuhui. He then comes on at Millwall & scores a great goal to seal the match but then he is stuck back on the bench & given no chance to build his confidence from that goal. He gets another chance on Saturday & takes a while to get into the game after so many matches without a start. He gets a goal then is buzzing and looks dangerous. He needs to start tomorrow but SG has promised Lavery game time after pulling him out of Chesterfield. Lavery isn't good enough yet & needs to build his confidence. I fear that SG will destroy May. And thank God we have peiowl to point all this horseshite out. RE: 2014-15 Second Half & January Transfer Window - madsteve - 18-03-2015 All our problems are solved. We have signed Lloyd Isgrove on an emergency loan from Southampton. He has played eight matches in L1 for Peterboro and one sub appearance for Southampton. |
