Newcastle are hoping to sign West Brom winger Callum McManaman, 25. The Magpies are also close to signing Chelsea and Ghana winger Christian Atsu, 24, on loan for the rest of the season. (Sky Sports)
West Brom have triggered the release clause in Malaga midfielder Ignacio Camacho's contract. The 26-year-old is keen to move, while his £15.35m transfer would set a new club record for the Baggies. (Birmingham Mail)

No, he can't, he has to agree to it. He has a contract with Albion and he can enforce it, just as Albion can. It's why a lot of clubs can't shift high earners and they are forced to allow players to see out their contracts. Kevin Doyle at Wolves was an example.
I really do dislike the man and his attitude.
I totally agree stairs this kid (He's no man) has been a real thorn in our backside for far too long and one thing i will say is TP hasn't been helped having to pacify this little T**t. Imagine you're a 10 year old in a war zone in africa then the next minute you're playing football for a premiership team and 10 years later on a huge wage for that team. Would any of us be grateful in a situation like that? And one thing I'll never understand is why these rich brats ever feel the need to go drink driving when they can so easily pay for a driver FFS! He's not even scoring anymore he can't hit a cows arse with a banjo. He should and could have been an ideal partner for Rondon a great guy btw who's busting his arse to work and score with very little service a shining example of a person who's been blessed with talent and is trying to use it for the club that's bought him. And while were talking about money is anybody else feeling somewhat sick of the amount of money that's changing hands for these johnny come lately's Pogba 90 MILLION GBP Its all become a sick joke then there's the wages. Seriously its all nuts. I can't afford to go to football ever on my earnings. The only sport i can go see is Speedway and those guys don't get paid if they don't ride and they put themselves at serious risk of career ending injury and death for the sport. Carvalho, believe it when I see it, Everton tried to get him and could not, so if he has become available, they would probably be straight back in.
As long as there is a glimmer of hope though, what a signing he would be.

West Brom announced the signing of Nacer Chadli from Tottenham yesterday for £13m, and are now looking to play him in midfield with Carvalho.
There have been reports linking West Brom with a move for Malaga midfielder Ignacio Camacho, but the Birmingham Mail claim that the Baggies will only be able to fund a move for one of them.
This means that a move for Carvalho may signal the end of the Camacho chase.

Re you know who. If he still has ambitions of getting in the national team, he'll want to play at his best won't he, so who knows he may re-kindle the obvious talent he has, and start scoring again with new players around him.

Your right it would be typical for this situation to arise. There is also the chance it could work in our favour regarding Carvalho, if both he and his agent are aware that they can not hold us to ransom as we have a back up. Not sure what Camacho will make of being an obvious second best though.

As a thought, do you see Brunt still having a regular first team spot - even at left back? I thought he was far too economical with his shooting as he is supposed to have a lethal left foot - or his tackling and sense of where he should be was 40%. Thoughts.
