As always with west brom Baggieman Thumb up

Latest reports say however as in the earlier link Leicester were interested and now reports coming out of Portugal saying Leicester have offered the full 30 million Euros we offered 25 Million Euros

So this is very much up in the air at the moment some reports say its us some say Leicester,
With Champions League football beckoning, my bet is it's not the Hawthorns.

Portugal Sporting lost the second of its stars. The extreme Islam Slimani signed with Leicester. The agreement between the two clubs is 30 million, five more million than the amount offered by the West Bromwich Albion . The player was aware that if he bid for that amount, he would be allowed to leave Portugal.

A lot doing the rounds on Twitter
Again for just 5 million Euro's weeks of haggling someone just steps in and says here you are here is what you want
Another one to draw a line under FFS !!!!!! >Sad

Everton, along with West Brom and Crystal Palace, are interested in signing Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli. Palermo also have money set aside to bring the 26-year-old back to Italy. (Gazzetta - in Italian)

Interesting developments

Sky reporting we are taking Chadli on loan from Spurs
Which then means if true Rodriguez cant join from Southampton as we are allowed only two domestic loans

I think Chadli could be a very good signing for us, his height should be useful from set pieces (and means Pulis will actually be willing to play him), he could play on either wing or just off Rondon. From what I've seen of him he's been decent for spurs and carries a goal threat, a bit of a different winger to Philipps or someone, I don't think he's really the type to get to the byline and put crosses in.

Chadli should be a good signing if played in the middle just behind the striker(s).

Dissappointed that we missed out on Slamini - but not surprised.

Still need another striker whether Saido goes or not. Will have to be a purchase or overseas loan, I would expect it to be the latter.

We always try to save a bit of money ..... that's a sound business tactic ...... but it is costing g us decent players and the chance to progress. We may need to overspend now to get the results to attract better players later ...... look at Leicester, a little bit of success and European football and they can steal our targets ..... We spent to long bartering rather pay what we needed to. Historically they are no better than us, their only advantage is the fact that they are a one team town.
