RE: Thread For Anything But Football - madsteve - 01-07-2015 Women's football will always struggle here as long as it is viewed as a boys sport. When it is viewed like tennis & athletics as equal then it will take off. RE: Thread For Anything But Football - Was Wereham Owl - 01-07-2015 Canada isn't your country PEI, you are English, why side with the little colonies ???, My mother was Irish, my father of Sicilian decendancy, but FU*K ME, I'm English ..just like you, or did I buy a book about a Canadian who was brought up English LOL !!! Very good book BTW .. you should all buy a copy and make the Canadian guy some money !! Or I have a 2nd hand copy ..20p..PM me lol RE: Thread For Anything But Football - consilio - 01-07-2015 I'll give you 10p RE: Thread For Anything But Football - Was Wereham Owl - 01-07-2015 I will do 5p, don't wanna rob ya !!! But seriously guys, good read ... ENJOYED IT .. RE: Thread For Anything But Football - peiowl - 01-07-2015 What a Canada Day I'm going to have. Off to see my son play in a local park. He plays keyboard in several rock and blues groups. Today he's playing with a group called Lady Soul then later More Soul. They do the James Brown stuff. Then, a bbq with some friends at my house. Then, lather ourselves with mosquito repellent as the buggers are like bllodthirsty vampires right now. Finish off with the fireworks display. "Oh Canada, Our home and native land, True patriot love........................." RE: Thread For Anything But Football - consilio - 01-07-2015 Is it available on Amazon? PEI, youtube links ..love some blues (BTW Rodger..yer a twat| ) RE: Thread For Anything But Football - peiowl - 01-07-2015 (01-07-2015, 19:27)consilio Wrote: Is it available on Amazon? yes. www.amazon.co.uk Google "Starting to Frame." Also at Waterstone's Orchard Sq and Star bookstore. It's being serialized in the Star....3 excerpts. Just sent in the first 700 word one. It was supposed to be published this week but the Tunisian massacre has taken up a lot of space and rightfully displaced it. Maybe next wk. There was a short feature article about the book in a recent edition of the Star. But if you see the book, you'll know who I am won't you? Several people already do so not bothered. I could do what I did on a book site (Goodreads) and offer a free copy for some sort of draw or contest. Like the first person to get a I'll think about it. Tell me you think Nuhiu is the best player we ever had One of the groups my son plays in performing at an open air Jazz Fest on PEI 2013. My son is the handsome looking dude in the yellow top and sunglasses on keyboard. he solos in 2nd number. Enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPpKhfsvaZo RE: Thread For Anything But Football - Washington - 01-07-2015 Thanks to one search in Bing there's no more off the grid for you now PEI !! Good luck with the continued sales and the mini-serialization in The Star. Based on the reviews I'll definitely have to find a copy and support your noteworthy cause. Enjoy your BBQ later !!! RE: Thread For Anything But Football - peiowl - 01-07-2015 Not sure what you mean by "off the grid," Washington. I'm an old guy you know. Easiest way to find the book: Go on my website. There are 2 portals (UK and NA) that take people directly to the book on amazon. www.startingtoframe.com I noticed that only the paperback version was displayed on the .com site but if you use their search engine and type in starting to frame kindle you'll get the eversion. If you have a kobo reader it can be ordered directly from them. It's everywhere. |
