Stan Bowles, 75, QPR and England. Another, like Big Frank, that Joe Mercer got the point of and the stuffed shirts of the FA that wanted to pick the England team didn't. But, but, they have social lives and chase those womeny things. Doh
He could tie you in knots while you were trying to work out which boot you'd remembered to tie a knot in.

Um, snap

One more of those classic 70s players, the likes of which are now very rare.

Classy.

And Aston Villa. I just watched yesterday his 35 yard screamer in the League Cup Final replay for Villa.

My bro, who was probably too young at the time to remember him down The Shay, says really old fans would still have him back if they could. Well, after selling him the previous week and getting a 0-8 shellacking by Fulham who had a certain Bobby Moore and a soon to be retired Johnny Haynes in their side, that might do that to you. I was there that night and no I wasn't laughing. The Shaymen were chanting his name after 2 goals went in, it was a lot louder after the 8th.

Chris Nicholl, not Tich, obvs.

My brain said Halifax sold him to Aston Vanilla, but it was actually Luton. They sold him to Vanilla and they sold him to Sarfamton.
