RE: RIP Hereford United - HerefordBull - 06-09-2022 Been away for 10 days and it's not been a great time for the Bulls!. Back to back 1.3 losses to Banbury and our local rivals Gloucester City over the Bank Holiday weekend were followed by a 1.1 draw with Alfreton. Unfortunately the Banbury game made the headlines for crowd trouble rather than the football. Not fourth in the table anymore lol Farsley at home on Saturday so COYB RE: RIP Hereford United - HerefordBull - 12-09-2022 Naturally the game against Farsley was called off on Saturday following the death of the Queen. The Bulls are back in action on Tuesday with a trip to Brackley Town. They have also had a mixed bag to the season so could be an interesting game. The game for next Saturday is awaiting confirmation to the go ahead. COYB RE: RIP Hereford United - HerefordBull - 14-09-2022 Another loss last night with a 2.1 loss at Brackley Town. Goals either side of the break were enough for the Saints with Evans getting the Bulls consolation in the dying seconds. All that optimism of a couple of weeks ago has now evaporated with 3 losses in 4 games as we drop down the table from our lofty fourth position............it's a funny old game! COYB RE: RIP Hereford United - HerefordBull - 16-09-2022 The Emirates FA Cup game gets the go ahead for Saturday. The Bulls are at home to Southern Premier division side Bromsgrove Sporting. Although they are in a Southern division and we are a Northern, this is a local derby. We were in the Southern Premier in 2017 / 18 A big game against lower league opposition and after some poor results of late a morale boosting win is a must..........lose and Gowling must be checking his coat is not on a shoogly peg........as they would say up here. COYB RE: RIP Hereford United - HerefordBull - 22-09-2022 The Bulls managed to grind out a 1.0 win at home against a stubborn Bromsgrove side. McClean scored the Hereford goal. As it was an FA cup tie the crowd was down to around 1500 as of course it was all paid tickets with STs not being valid. In the draw for the third qualifying round we are drawn away at Jubilee Field against Three Bridges FC .........apparently they play near Crawley and are in the Isthmian League, Southern section. They are named after the Railway Station where 3 lines converge and were formed in 1901. May try and get down for this one as certainly a ground I have never been to. Back to League business on Saturday with a home game against Blyth Spatans , who sit on the same points in the lower half of the table as us, so will probably be another tight game. COYB RE: RIP Hereford United - HerefordBull - 26-09-2022 In the end a comfortable 3.0 win against Blyth. Goal before half time and 2 late on in the second half were good enough for the Bulls. It could have been 4 but the ex Aberdeen, Partick and ICT player Miles Storey missed a sitter. Crowd was just over 1900 with very few from Blyth! Difficult game tomorrow night with a local derby game v Leamington who are going well this season. We are at home so lets hope that helps us.... COYB RE: RIP Hereford United - HerefordBull - 15-10-2022 After a draw v Leamington at home (0.0) and a good win at Boston away (2.4) with a win at Three Bridges in the FA Cup qualifying (0.3) sandwiched in between, Hereford face a step up in class today with another qualifier for the cup at Vanarama National League outfit Bromley. Unfortunately I cannot go, so will have to follow online.........hiding behind the sofa no doubt. RE: RIP Hereford United - Lord Snooty - 15-10-2022 Good luck, Bulls. RE: RIP Hereford United - Lord Snooty - 15-10-2022 A shock 2-1 win then. Draw on Monday. RE: RIP Hereford United - HerefordBull - 15-10-2022 Aye Snoots.........90 minutes is always a good time to score. |
