RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Statesideowl - 18-05-2024 These are the concepts of greedy, corporate money spinners wearing suits which cost more than your first quarter earnings.. Their thinking is exactly that, if enough big sponsors and TV broadcasters are on board they'll quite happily hold an event which has no viewers or fans in the stadium, as long as it spins a few pennies. The only thing of significance is money. If it does end up in financial loss, taxpayers will pick it up as these corporate entities mustn't ever suffer loss! Their poor billionaire shareholders couldn't cope! Every modern company has a policy of generating revenue first, service and products do not matter it's about taking money from you. After that it's rules, regulations and policy that prohibit them from giving your money back, end stage capitalism is laughable to witness. The EPL has shown that many top teams can operate without a fan base, the money generated by all their nefarious activities over the years allowed them to be in a position where they don't need to consider the fans or give a flying eff what they think, the purpose being such that no fanbase has leverage against the owner. Just like any other corporate entities. You only need look to our very social structure and hierarchy to understand how this is currently working and how it's going to play out. It will happen, with or without fans. RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Imre varadi - 18-05-2024 Wildsmith released by Derby they've obviously seen enough to know his level . RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Imre varadi - 18-05-2024 Oxford get in ! 2 up. Lol RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Statesideowl - 18-05-2024 Noblot, how they've fallen. All that noise their fans made back in 606 when they were EPL and we were L1. How they'd never be playing us in the 3rd tier RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Maddix - 18-05-2024 Mudyorka RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Statesideowl - 19-05-2024 Could there be an exciting climax in the EPL today? Could the Hammers upset Citeh and allow the Gooooooners to steal the title? Could there be any VAR incidents in the fixtures of consequence? RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Imre varadi - 19-05-2024 Looks like Huddershit will be playing Crawley town next season pmsl ... RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Imre varadi - 19-05-2024 Citeh 2 up already that's the title bought and paid for ! RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Statesideowl - 19-05-2024 I've a sneaking suspicion Citeh will play a weakened side and give Manure a shot at European qualification. There's a lot of players getting ready for the Euro Cup that don't want injuries. RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Imre varadi - 19-05-2024 Newcastle will be hoping not as they get the pizza conference place if man city do the double ..and tbh pep will want a double because he's about to walk out of the door when man city hopefully get hung drawn and quartered hopefully soon as the hearing date has been set ! |
