I am ok with Smith being in the squad, he brings something completely different for an opposition defence that what we start with. I am also ok with keep Hendricks in the squad, he is a capable replacement during games and can fill in if need be.

At our level we are always going to have deadwood filling the squad, its about the first 14-15 players that matters.

The rest can **** off.

You might be right about Smith though he still needs to be replaced with better.

Hendricks though, does he justify the cost?
He's on a reported 50k a week at Newcastle.
How much if that burden have we taken on?

At 50% of his wages we'd be matching Bannan's 25k per week, and Barry's our main player.
To me, paying even less than 50% of Hendricks wages doesn't justify a bit part squad player when similar wages are going to first team players!
It's a waste of funds in an already strangled budget.
We could've brought in a player that Rohl actually selects and most certainly someone who improved the team rather than be a bench warmer.

I have no idea what portion of Hendricks wages we are paying but I assume there is no clause in the contract to send him back so we are stuck with him. Rohl said he is ok with having 6 midfielders for 2 places, so he is going to employ a No10 and two wide players in a front 4 lie we have seen.

Pigs conceded 4 in 18 mins against Villa.
They tried to emulate our capitulation.

Good news, everybody!!

Iorfa is likely to be available again next week so he can provide that added element of whimsy we've all become so accustomed to.

He looked like he was back on form before the injury, lets hope he can hit that form again. He was a key player in the decent run of results we had.

The fans need to keep the pressure up, in reality there is nothing we can do to actually force him to sell, but at least constantly showing him he is not wanted is the best that can be done for now. We have seen other clubs finally get new owners after fan pressure, so hopefully this continues to grow.
