RE: Hamilton - Blue Baggie - 13-10-2020

Another Sunday afternoons work for Lewis. He just breaks records every time he races atm.
Equals MS Grand Prix wins, sets lap records.
I'd really like to see him in another car, his legendary status is slightly tarnished until he performs for another team in another car.
I am struggling to understand what motivates him anymore.

Repeat, repeat, another autumn amble for Lewis. At least Botas snatched pole from him. Although by the smallest of margins. Memories of Ayeton remain on this track. But congratulations to Lewis, the championship he strives for is now within his grasp.

Plenty of gossiping + is he gonna quit
He's never quit anything !!!

No chance of him quitting just yet, he will sign again with Mercedes and try for a couple more titles.

He completed his 7th championship. Congratulations. Tbh he was a long way in front of all the other drivers today. No spins and very few twitches. Another majestic drive.

Superb drive from Hamilton today, no errors and his tire management was excellent. A great drive from Vettel as well, showed his experience in treacherous conditions!! To equal Schumacher’s record in conditions where Schumacher was the master was brilliant as well.

Get in there Lewis, another win in the bag. Spectacular crash by Grojean and he walked away. Luckiest driver of the day.

That crash was amazing. To see a car break clean in half like that is something I haven't seen in F1 for years!! The fact he got out is testament to the drivers pod that F1 cars have these days.

I also see that Hamilton will not race this weekend due to a positive Covid test for him.

With Lewis apparently bed bound his seat has been given to rookie Russell. If by any chance he wins the spot light will be firmly on the car not him.
Special mention to Emerson Fittipaldi's grandson Pietro who makes his debut for the Hass team. The race will be more interesting without Lewis IMO.

Great race in Bahrain!! Full of drama with Verstappen and Leclerc going out on the first lap and Russell out racing Bottas to lead for most of the race. A screw up by Mercedes on a pit stop under the VSC saw Russell and Bottas drop down the field and then a puncture for Russell pushed him further down!! In the end Perez, the man with no seat next season took the win after being in 19th after the first lap, followed by Ocon and Stroll.

So what did we learn without Hamilton in the No 44. The Mercedes is the best car for sure. Imo Bottas is a mid-table driver and couldn't step into Hamiltons shoes. Russell is destined for better things and maybe even a Mercedes seat behind Hamilton. Perez deserves a ride in the Red Bull as he is clearly better than Albon. Hamilton deserves the accolades he gets, he is not only the best driver but he is the best during the race as well in terms of not making the mistakes we see from others and his management of the car. Russell drove a great race until the pit stop fiasco and would have easily got the win.

This race gave us a glimpse of what F1 could be if Mercedes and Hamilton were not so dominant, not their fault at all, its up to the others to get better and close the gap. Would have been good to see Verstappen and Leclerc go the distance but in the end it was a great race to watch.
