RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - St Charles Owl - 15-05-2023 Plus we are in League One, we are not watching Man City in terms of players ability. I like the way Moore sets up the team, I like 352 as a system but don't like 532 and we refer to that more often, my issue with him is as has been said he struggles to change that system if it doesn't work, but again maybe that reflects somewhat on the players and their capability to change and make it effective. Byers was a huge loss, Bannan is the one who can make the killer pass, Vaulkes sits deep, breaks up play and just passes it to others but Byers was the engine in there, he got forward and he defended and we haven't replaced him with players who can do that. This means Bannan drops deep and Vaulkes tries to get forward, jobs neither can do as well as what they are good at. RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Maddix - 15-05-2023 Whilst I agree that Byers is by far our best player (for now) I still find it unacceptable that we can't cope without him and have no back up whatsoever. Players get injured and that's why you have a squad that can play in a team. FGR, Burton etc, 5pts clear with games in hand FFS RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Imre varadi - 15-05-2023 Bollocks the back up was shite !! As soon as we signed a player Pearson didn't want I knew he wouldn't work !! We have failed to buy back up since Carlos left and he only bought shite backup due to paxo stuffing bringing in his pay checks !! Chansiri is the problem here always has been always will be ..do I have to state all the bullshit he's pulled time and time again in transfer windows ...ffs Too add ...all has been made worse making Bannan the king pin talent he is but leader in the middle of the park only when we play soft under bellies !! Bannan has destroyed Wednesday ..the proof is in the pudding !! Only one more season for him to f@ck up !!! And now we say palmer is the bollocks ffs ..while he is player of the year and has played better being consistent!! He's hardly going to win you games is he ffs ....this is how shit we have become !!! Flint may as well be che dunkley Or loovens they are just as shite ..but the best we have to offer thanks to a malignant virus in chansiri !! RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Statesideowl - 16-05-2023 Not entirely sure about that.. I saw a non league player (Nemane now a Division 4 player) pluck the ball out of the sky and show superior ball control to most of our squad.. being in Division 3 isn't a good excuse for being pure shite or not being capable of basic Ball control in my opinion. I don't expect the ball to stick to their feet like Messi but it shouldn't be hitting random parts of their legs and pinging off any direction that's just garbage. I don't believe players are only able to learn ball control or passing at an Academy level either. With enough training and the right coaching a player can be taught to improve most aspects of their game at any stage in their career. Something else is deeply wrong here as I haven't seen the other teams in the top 6 struggle with these same basics in the manner we do. Plymouths and Ipswich's transitional play up the pitch and their finishing in front of goal is more efficient than ours. I'd even say the same for the likes of Barnsley and Bolton. It's fair to say one of our problems is poor quality coaching. Bannan as our only outlet has been an issue for yrs now. If he doesn't play well the team usually doesn't. I agree he isn't a big enough presence as Captain. He doesn't seem able to affect the players attitudes on the pitch. He definitely needs another strong character in midfield with him. There's just too many spineless chickens in the team that go missing or don't even show up. Has Moore ever tried anything different to see if it better suits the players capabilities? or does he force incapable players to bend to his methodology? Sticking with Moore also means it's highly unlikely any youngsters will be brought in as he clearly prefers older players. So it's likely more Championship cast offs will be brought in for one last pay day and again the cycle repeats. Friday morning is the big one. We'll still be in Division 3 but will Moore get his P45? I think Chansiri is going to bottle it and prove me right about the Club's lack of ambition. Then he'll be complaining about season ticket sales, surprised that peasants in a recession don't want to pay £700 for another season of the ugliest football you've ever seen. RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Statesideowl - 16-05-2023 https://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/football/sheffield-wednesday/sheffield-wednesday-out-of-contract-players-4144794 Some of the work done for us. Our soon to be out of contract players. Looks like I might be wrong about Sunderland, they decided to not even show up. Though they should've had a penalty, but were robbed like us. RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Maddix - 16-05-2023 I'd keep Byers because he's our only good player, Patonaldo because he's the only aggression we have and Palmer because he's part of the furniture and a future player/manager when DM finally rolls a seven I'd maybe offer Iorfull a contract with the 8 year olds on £1.50 and some sweets a week The rest can f'uck off RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Imre varadi - 16-05-2023 I the works done but can you imagine how bad the new players will be on our budget next season !!! And any decent players like Byers will see this and f@ck off so it's not like we will get a choice of who we will keep when it comes to players like Byers and Windass !!! Itheckwie Hennegan (if he gets over his injury Bannan Wilks That's 3 players to start the new season in the pub league with no money 2 of which are 50% !!! We are proper going to do an mk dons nailed on because bungle will be playing bingo till Xmas when he gets the sack !! Now he will be able to convince Palmer Hunt Dawson Flint Pato Brown Stockdale James Iorfa Adenarin To make up the squad because they are either average or shit !!! RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Owlkev71 - 16-05-2023 Luton into the Championship playoff final, maybe next year for Sunderland, at least they are a club going in the right direction. RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Imre varadi - 16-05-2023 Pakis in premiership again ...Jesus they where conference when clownsiri took over ffs ! RE: Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general - Maddix - 16-05-2023 James is under contract at Blackpool, they will recall him, why would they let a rival have him ?
