RE: 2016 (31st July) - WBA Summer Transfer Window - Salopbaggie - 12-08-2016

Pullis confirms sale of Chester to Villa to be announced later today, with a 2 million profit.  Smallest and still oldest squad in the league, nothing realistic on the rumour mill about in-comings and we are selling players.

Whooo is me,  We're DOOMED, I tell you. We're all DOOOOOOOOOOMED  Doh  Rolleyes

RE: 2016 (31st July) - WBA Summer Transfer Window - drewks - 12-08-2016

I see TP is being quoted this morning as saying we need 4-5 new players in but it's been a difficult summer for the club in terms of transfers in.
Well, at least it's recognised, and we're still trying.
It does make you wonder what assurances TP tries to give players that he tries to sign; we're all just assuming that there's a completely negative mindset about coming here.
It's getting harder to imagine anything else but I still remember the punchy, pacey, effective (and dare I say attractive) football that Palace played under him not so long ago.  Oh - to be able to even think that THAT would be possible for us this season ..........

Chester has signed for Villa. Good luck James, you were never given a proper chance here. NOW LETS GO AND GET SCHLUPP

Let's hope it does not come back to bite us on the arsenal with relegation for us and unlikely promotion for them .....

Let's get players in ......... and soon.

He's told Leicester he wants to join us, that's the only reason a bid has been accepted. Will be a good solid signing at either left back or left mid

If Schlupp rumours are true, then that's a step in the right direction. Presuming, at least, that we're not planning to stick him in goal, or up front, or in a burger van on the Brummie Road.

Berahino to stay at the Baggies and run down his contract! Schlupp expressed a desire to go to the Baggies! What is happening guys?

RE: 2016 (31st July) - WBA Summer Transfer Window - betterthanbaird - 13-08-2016

Seen on another forum that we intend to play Schlupp on the wing, so we're presumably still in for a left back, Leicester fans seem to all think he's better on the wing and it means we won't have to watch McLean quite so much this season.
