Following this today whenever possible, Kandy is one of the places we'll be visiting on our holiday so hopefully I may discover a thing or two about the place

Looks like we've done alright there. Sri Lanka bowled out for 239 with Woakes taking six wickets.
The covers are on at the interval though and there could be rain on the way.

Play abandoned for the day. Luckily we have a reserve day and England will have the full 50 overs for the chase.
And apparently this is the first time since 2004 that England have made use of a reserve day in ODIs.

Can I use yesterday's ticket for reserve day today in Kandy ODI? Cheers

Don't see why not, kingers.

Looks like the sun is shining today. But surely we should have been made to wait and play under the lights.

Beefy and Bumble are amazed that the whole day is available to bat the 50 overs although I suspect that showers will come in later in the day

47 to win from the last ten overs with 7 wickets standing.
How are we going to cock this one up?

Unbeaten century for Rootytooty and an England victory. Smile

Eng 240-5

England win by 5 wickets

Sky TV feed goes down at the vital moment - brilliant. Someone pulled the plug on a generator apparently. Big Grin

I wondered what happened there. Put Sky Go on to catch the end but without sound. Saw Joe get his ton then it went off.
Went back to Cricinfo to finish off.
