RE: Women's World Cup 2023 - Lord Snooty - 19-08-2023 The Prince of Wales is receiving pelters for not attending the Final tomorrow and has sent out a video apologising. Man! Your Highness! Mate! You're the President of the Football Association. You should've had this booked months ago. Whether England got there or not, you should've been there. Resign! RE: Women's World Cup 2023 - ritchiebaby - 19-08-2023 Cancel Church, Snooty??? Resign immediately! RE: Women's World Cup 2023 - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 19-08-2023 He doesn't usually attend major men's finals in other countries, does he? (If there's pics of him swanning round Doha last year or Moscow in 2018 I'll happily stand corrected.) He's not president of the Australian FA, so there's no reason he should have booked a seat in advance, and though I'm sympathetic to the argument he could have cleared his schedule and jumped on a plane when the Lionesses won their semi, you know the same people slating him for not going would have been slating him for destroying the planet with jet fumes if he had done. RE: Women's World Cup 2023 - Lord Snooty - 19-08-2023 And if he had gone, I'd be calling him a freeloading parasite. RE: Women's World Cup 2023 - Lord Snooty - 20-08-2023 RE: Women's World Cup 2023 - Amelia Chaffinch - 20-08-2023 Sooooo excited. RE: Women's World Cup 2023 - Lord Snooty - 20-08-2023 Big job to do now, Serena. Spain deservedly ahead at half time. RE: Women's World Cup 2023 - Lord Snooty - 20-08-2023 Ah well. Not to be this time. Spain were the better team on the day. One mistake and they punished us. Good finish from Olga. Not sure I agree with that. First half was even but England definitely the better team in the second half. Lacking decent balls into the box though and thats what has cost them in the end. It’s been a good WC and hopefully it will help the women’s game establish itself a bit more. The quality has certainly improved over the last few years and it should keep improving now. RE: Women's World Cup 2023 - 0762 - 20-08-2023 https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/66239133 Boosted the women's game. Still a long way to go though in terms of spreading finance across other nation leagues etc, make it more competitive and gradually raise standards. |
