Someone tell me when it's safe to come back. Amoebi. Did Joey Benjamin turn us down? RE: 2014 Transfer Window: (Jan 23) Essien says no - BBB - 23-01-2015 Ameoba: The 33-year-old is a free agent having ended his contract with Turkish side Gaziantep, after the club suffered financial problems. Gaziantep, Giantstep, it looks like a step in the wrong direction, I am also a touch concerned that everyone who we want is facing the sun and not a pit. If all we can do is get 33 year old Shola Ameobi in place of Samaras and Varela.... I rest my case on Pulis ! Re Ameobi - I am cool with that at the moment. We have just over a week for the transfers to happen and this is a man on a free. If we fail in other bids then having him in the squad until the summer to replace Ideye who could not him a barn door with a banjo, cancels each other out. We will need another striker though and as I have said, we have until the 2nd to do it. RE: 2014 Transfer Window: (Jan 23) Essien says no - Stairs - 23-01-2015 I say this every transfer window. Change of manager makes very little difference. It will all happen in the final few days. Ameobi is a back-up striker. Proven. Only until the summer and is cover for 2 under performing players who if all were wonderful would have only got onto the bench. Fletcher (Darren), like so many, but at least has come out and said it. Is waiting to the last day of the window to make his decision on next club (if indeed he moves). This will be the same for many players, assuming they have intelligent agents. Add to that some clubs will want to have secured a player before they will release another - just like a chain is the house market. Calm down, calm down. RE: 2014 Transfer Window: (Jan 23) Essien says no - betterthanbaird - 23-01-2015 Sako - not gonna happen Philipps - bit concerned about signing a QPR reject effectively but would be worth the risk at 4m. Cork - if we insist on a midfielder I'd prefer him to Fletcher. M'vila - remember him being hyped and was probably quite good but I get the feeling of an attitude problem. RE: 2014 Transfer Window: (Jan 23) Essien says no - Salopbaggie - 23-01-2015 According to the BBC Adnan Januzaj is available for loan..... Yes please oh and could you please pay his wages as well, Man U? RE: 2014 Transfer Window: (Jan 23) Essien says no - Mosestheballwinner - 23-01-2015 Living in Glasgow I've seen a lot of Samaras. He's a very good player. I don't understand how he hasn't been given a chance. |
