If my lift hadn't let me down I wouldn't have had to.

Why does the Nutter always sit next to me on the bus?? DD Sad Sad

RE: The Moaning Thread - Amelia Chaffinch - 18-09-2014

I don't have that problem. I usually have the bus to myself.

London Underground-When in London on my regular trips to the big smoke I find the majority of locals are so rude and have very little in the way of manners. On my last visit a women was asking if someone could help carry her bag up the underground escalator whilst she carried her dog up(they have to carried) and was completely ignored by the locals, I was her last hope and so I helped her out whilst informing her that I'm from the North of England and we have manners up our way.
Whilst I'm on the subject of the London Underground, what is it with people who stand in your way when you are trying to exit off the tube. Tube comes into the station, you are stood by the doors waiting to exit and these plums stand right in front of the doors.... Angry

Just had a massive lecture off a Tory telling me how I should be grateful of what Cameron has done for this country and for the working class and how he's saved the United Kingdom. Are they so dense? Angry

It's more ignorance than stupidity. In the same way that most bigots have never met a person from the group they despise who's truly similar to them (or if they have, it's always a case of "he's not like all the rest of them"), your average Tory type tends to believe that they live in a perfect meritocracy where hard work always pays, and refuse to entertain the very notion that decent people can be left up shit creek purely by circumstances, because they're insulated from all evidence to the contrary.
