Sounds like they're struggling. Half time 0-0.

Red card for Lauren James.

So silly from James, and should England progress that will be the end of the tournament for her

It's Beckham all over again.

Phew! Blush

Another exciting 0-0 draw followed by a classic penalty shoot out.

Well done Australia. Now come on the Lionesses. Let's do it in normal time.

England did manage to win but still far from impressive, resorting to hacking the ball anywhere downfield in the closing stages. I've no problem with the English team and management, but the ITV studio pundit at the start of second-half of extra-time, said that the winner would be playing England. Staggering show of ignorance and arrogance in my opinion, even if it did come true.

I arrived in Sydney yesterday, world cup stuff all over the place, lots of England shirts and obviously a lot of Aussie ones as well. Even though the Aus v France game was in Brisbane you could feel the excitement in Sydney. Lots of fireworks set off in Sydney after their win as well. Should be interesting in Sydney on Wednesday for the Semi-final!!

England did it again, beating Australia 3-1 with 3 of the goals being things of beauty and the 4th a reward for aggression and persistence.

The big thing about England is that they have a great desire to win and the stubbornness to never give up, even when things look bleak. Plus ability of course.

Watched the highlights a couple of times tonight. Brilliant stuff.

I was hard at work this morning, but managed to see quite a bit of the second half on my phone on my lunch break. Was thinking how good they were playing and just needed a second to kill the game off, when Sam Kerr went and did that. What a strike.

Luckily, I just saw our lassies go 2-1 up as I was about to swich off.

Not missing it on Sunday. Church is cancelled. Tongue

Everything was gold and green here in Sydney yesterday including the lighting up of the Opera House. Thankfully it all fell a bit flat after a dominant Lioness’ performance!!

I’m off the Melbourne now!!

Well, as someone astutely observed on Twitter yesterday, you can't sandpaper a football.
