Crawley Town have signed midfielder Antony Papadopoulos from Welling United on a two-year deal.

The 21-year-old made 70 appearances for the Kent club, scoring four goals.

The Wings came 17th in National League South last season, with Papadopoulos scoring three goals in 41 games.

He came through the academy at Leyton Orient before joining Welling in 2022.

Crawley secured promotion to the third tier with a 2-0 victory against Crewe Alexandra in the League Two play-off final at Wembley.

"I feel like I really came into my own last season, and I had a lot of appearances, and it has always been my ambition to get back into the EFL, so I am really happy to be here as it is an exciting time for the club, and I can’t wait for the season to start," he told the club's website, external.

Crawley Town have signed Wealdstone defender Charlie Barker for an undisclosed fee.

The 21-year-old centre-back - who is the son of former Crawley manager Richie Barker - has signed a three-year contract with the Red Devils.

Barker came up through Charlton's academy system and played 11 times for the Addicks in all competitions, including three starts in League One when he was 17.

He left Charlton a year ago and played 43 National League games for Wealdstone last season having initially joined on loan in October 2022.

“My agent had some calls from a few clubs but as soon as I heard Crawley were interested I was excited and knew that I wanted to come here," Barker told the club website, external.

"The club did unbelievably well last season, and I have a few connections with some of the boys here, who only had positive things to say.”

Crawley Town have signed former Millwall left-back Scott Malone from Gillingham for an undisclosed fee.

The 33-year-old becomes the third signing in less than 24 hours for the Reds, following the captures of ex-Swindon striker Rushian Hepburn-Murphy and centre-back Josh Flint after his contract expired at Dutch club Volendam.

Malone has made more than 500 appearances in a career spanning 15 years, playing 193 games for Millwall across three stints at the club.

He has penned a one-year contract at Broadfield Stadium.

"I married into the area 10 years ago as my wife is in Broadfield, so it has always been a dream of mine."

Meanwhile Hepburn-Murphy, 25, has joined the club on an initial two-year deal having scored 12 goals in 52 appearances for the Robins.

Top scorer Danilo Orsi signed for Burton Albion on Thursday after his 25 goals spearheaded the Reds to League One promotion via the play-offs last season.

Hepburn-Murphy scored six goals as Swindon finished 19th in League Two.

"The style of play really attracted me to the club, I watched a lot of the football at the end of the season and it really appealed to me," he said., external

"I also have a lot of familiar faces here, so it was an easy decision."

Flint, 23, made 28 appearances as Volendam were relegated from the Eredivisie last season.

He has signed a two-year deal, subject to international clearance.

Flint was part of the Portsmouth academy before moving to Volendam in 2020, going on to make 40 appearances for the club.

Bournemouth midfielder Michael Dacosta Gonzalez has joined Crawley Town on a season-long loan.

The 19-year-old was born in Alicante and has represented Spain at under-19 level.

"I was supposed to do preseason with Bournemouth, but the loan opportunity was too good to turn down, so I am here now, and I can’t wait to get started and get playing," he told the club's website., external

Gonzalez becomes Crawley's eighth signing of the summer, following the club's promotion to League One.

Crawley Town have signed goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott from Hibernian on a permanent transfer.

The 27-year-old Ghanaian international has agreed a two-year deal with the Reds after one season spent with the Edinburgh club.

Wollacott becomes manager Scott Lindsey's ninth summer signing since Crawley were promoted to League One.

"Unfortunately, last season did not work out for me, so I was looking for a solution," Wollacott told the club's website, external.

"I know Scott well from my time at Swindon, and I really enjoyed working with him, so this seemed like a great fit."

Wollacott joined Swindon on loan from Bristol City in 2021 before making the move permanent that summer.

He made 41 appearances for the Robins before moving to Charlton Athletic in 2022.

Wollacott joined Hibs last year and made just eight appearances in an injury-hit season for the Scottish Premiership side. He has 11 internationals

Crawley Town have signed striker Muhammadu Faal on an initial six-month contract.

The 27-year-old spent the second half of last season at National League South side Maidstone United.

He has also had stints in non-league with Barnet, Havant and Waterlooville and Enfield Town but played twice for Bolton Wanderers in League One in January 2020.

"I have had lots of highs and lows in my career, but this is definitely the time for me to jump back into the EFL," Faal told the Crawley website.

"I have gained a lot of experience throughout my career so I will be taking all of the lessons I have learned with me to Crawley."

Scott Lindsey's side play their first game of the new League One saeason at home to Blackpool on 10 August.

Crawley Town have signed Scottish midfielder Max Anderson from Dundee for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old has put pen to paper on an initial two-year contract with the League One side.

He becomes the Reds' 10th summer signing after they won promotion via the League Two play-offs.

Anderson came through the academy at the Dundee, where he made 93 senior appearances and scored eight goals.

He spent last season on loan at Inverness Caledonian Thistle, making 31 league appearances as they were relegated to Scottish League One.

"This seems like a really great club to be at, and one that develops players really well. I have spoken with the manager and the staff and everyone was very pleasant with me," he told Crawley's website., external

"Scott [Lindsey] gave off a really good energy, and it is clear he wants to develop me as a player, and I think I can develop very well here, so I can't wait to get going."

Crawley play their first game of the new League One season at home to Blackpool on 10 August.

Crawley Town have signed Armando Junior Quitirna from Fleetwood Town for an undisclosed fee.

The 24-year-old has signed an initial two-year contract., external

He becomes Scott Lindsey's 11th summer signing for the League One club.

Quitirna, from Guinea-Bassau, scored five goals in 31 matches for the Cod Army.

He previously played for Charlton Athletic and Waterford Town.

Crawley begin the League One season at home to Blackpool on 10 August.

Southampton midfielder Cameron Bragg has joined Crawley Town on a season-long loan.

The 19-year-old has made two senior appearances for Saints since coming through the club's academy.

He has also signed a "new and improved contract" at the Premier League side.

Bragg becomes the Reds' 12th summer signing since winning promotion to League One.

"I had a really good meeting with the manager [Scott Lindsey] and it was obvious to me and my family that this was the place I needed to come to, and now I just can’t wait to get started," he told the club's website., external

Crawley Town have re-signed Panutche Camara on an initial two-year deal.

Camara, 27, played at Broadfield Stadium for three seasons after joining from non-league side Dulwich Hamlet in 2017.

The Guinea-Bissau international then left for Championship side Plymouth in 2020, making 95 appearances at Home Park, before signing for now Premier League club Ipswich two years later.

Camara only made four appearances for the Tractor Boys with his time at Portman Road hampered by injuries and spent last season on loan at Charlton Athletic before being released in the summer.

The midfielder will now ply his trade at Crawley once again and could feature in the Reds' opening League One game this Saturday at home to Blackpool.
