RE: 2016 (5th July) - WBA Summer Transfer Window - Salopbaggie - 06-07-2016 Good news on Phillips. What do people think about Diafra Sakho, do we really want him? He has only scored 15 in two seasons, maybe due to his lack of games, but there are another couple of niggly concerns for me. Do we really want a striker who can only make third choice at the Sham? He could be better in our setup I suppose! Do we want to replace one sulker with another? Remember the Sham saying he had a knee injury, when the reported real reason was that he did not like being on the bench so much. I can't see a player with that attitude getting on to well with TP. May be a really good signing I am just not sure. (Daily Telegraph) Aha.....obviously he was tapped up some months ago, and the double penalty miss wasn't SUCH an accident..... Ighalo has got years left on his contract apparently, whilst Sulky Boy only has one. Doesn't sould like a makeweight to me RE: 2016 (5th July) - WBA Summer Transfer Window - SomersetBaggie - 06-07-2016 (06-07-2016, 12:14)Salopbaggie Wrote: Good news on Phillips. Do not want Sakho, his attitude sounds worse than Saido. (Daily Telegraph) Watford turned it down - as not interested. RE: 2016 (5th July) - WBA Summer Transfer Window - Beefy 1965 - 06-07-2016 Interesting take on transfers and why we are not seeing more action in the market, Interesting also that the usual reliable Baggie 38 is still saying its the takeover that's holding things up ?? baggie38 Reserve Baggie **** Posts: 2478 Quote from: telford baggie on Today at 09:27:29 PM cheers baggie 38..any idea if there is a takeover cut off date like last year ? ========================================================================== No idea mate just been told it should be done relatively soon but the club will need to hit the last month of the window hard because while these talks are going on we won't be making any of the bigger signings which people are waiting for us to do. I would suggest not panicking and enjoy the ride. RE: 2016 (5th July) - WBA Summer Transfer Window - Salopbaggie - 07-07-2016 Looks like we stand to make £1.2 million from the transfer of Kemar Roofe to Leeds, more money in the pot JP, spend it wisely. On Phillips We can live in hope. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRTi2SZs1_E RE: 2016 (5th July) - WBA Summer Transfer Window - wba_1996 - 07-07-2016 Foster
Dawson - ? - Evans - ? Yacob - Fletcher Phillips - ? - ? Rondon Fill in the blanks with quality and we've had a perfect window. Sakho is a good striker but I hope we don't go for him as it would probably mean playing a 442, which doesn't suit either Yacob, Fletcher or Morrison and I genuinely think we'd get relegated trying to play it. Also no place for Morrison? (Italian reports via Croydon Advertiser) West Ham striker Diafra Sakho, 26, has handed in a transfer request because the Senegalese striker is looking for guaranteed first-team football.
