As there is very little in the way of reliable info on actual targets, what does everyone think we need in this window?
Personally, a winger on each side and a striker coming in would make me happy, if Varela stays I would be fine with just signing a right winger. I think we are too heavy in the centre of midfield so I would balance that up by letting go of one or two of them - Blanco and Dorrans would probably be the two I would choose for differing reasons.
I do rate the squad and I rate Pulis, even just getting in a top quality right winger and selling Dorrans/Blanco would be decent business in a January window. Although I firmly believe TP is targeting 3-5 in and the same number out.

Striker and a right-winger would satisfy me and another winger if Varela won't be playing.

Wingers are the priority for me. We probably do need one more forward as well, but we at least have a forward who the rest of the bottom half would bite their hand off for.
Given Varela and Samaras may not feature much that leaves one natural wide player in the whole squad. Scandalous that we haven't addressed the winger situation over the past two years.

I'll reserve judgement until tomorrow night. No Varela again then we need two wingers & Another striker (but we may get away with what we've got if Berahino stays fit)

Lots of talk from Wigan "insiders" stating our bid of £4m has been accepted.
After looking at their forum, they are playing dire atm and Mcmanaman has barely been given a mention. However, he is still only 23 and looked very good in the PL and especially the FA Cup final.
