RE: Paint Pot - St Charles Owl - 09-12-2014 Bet you can't wait!!!! RE: Paint Pot - themaclad - 09-12-2014 Winners of next weeks tie will play Walsall over two legs for a visit to North London SCO Certainly won't be going to Nottingham next Tuesday RE: Paint Pot - St Charles Owl - 09-12-2014 Nottingham isn't bad for a night out but not on a Tuesday and certainly not to watch the game at Meadow Lane!!! RE: Paint Pot - themaclad - 10-12-2014 And certainly not before you go to work at 7 am the following morning RE: Paint Pot - themaclad - 16-12-2014 Never arsed about this competition but as we are now through to the area final against Warsall. Personally never won at the Bescott but never lost at Fellows Park. Possible night out in the West Midlands. Home first 6/1/2015 away leg 4 weeks later RE: Paint Pot - Lord Snooty - 17-12-2014 4 weeks later? What kind of mental whatsit is that? Seems a bit excessive. When we had Carlisle in the area final it was the week after. We played them 4 times in 4 weeks, including a scheduled league match and a rearranged one. Anyway, best of luck. RE: Paint Pot - spireitematt - 17-12-2014 IMO the JPT is a good competition because its like a mini FA Cup for L1 and L2 and its fantastic winning it but you don't really make much money for getting to Wembley and winning it. It can also be a big distraction from the league just like any cup competition can. It would be good if they gave more prize money to the winner and made the competition more professional. If they did that then more teams I think would take it seriously. The reason why they play the first leg early in January and the second leg of the final 3-4 weeks later is to spread it out because the final is in March always on a Sunday when the clocks go forward. When we won it we played Oldham in the Northern final about mid-Jan and then played the 2nd leg about 14 days later. I think we would have done well if were still in it but the main objective was to get out of the cup in the first round and concentrate on finishing mid-table in the league. I can see it being a Preston Vs Bristol City final. Good Luck against Walsall. RE: Paint Pot - themaclad - 17-12-2014 Cheers fellas RE: Paint Pot - themaclad - 17-12-2014 First leg live on Sky |
