RE: WBA vs Sunderland - Match Thread - talkSAFT - 21-01-2017 Great goal by Fletch 1-0 Hoohoo 2-0. RE: WBA vs Sunderland - Match Thread - BaggieMan - 21-01-2017 Could be 3 or 4 up plus a stone-wall penalty when Rondon was wrested to the ground by 'Silly' Billy Jones. We've lost momentum - need to pop a third in. RE: WBA vs Sunderland - Match Thread - talkSAFT - 21-01-2017 That Denayer injury must be the most painful I've seen - smacked straight between the legs. Oooooh That happened to me once in a house match at school - caught a volley full on from about three yards. I was writhing on the pitch in agony while everyone, including the PE teacher, who was reffing the match, were laughing their socks off. Swines! RE: WBA vs Sunderland - Match Thread - talkSAFT - 21-01-2017 Great show all around. Good 3 pts. RE: WBA vs Sunderland - Match Thread - WBA-Josh - 21-01-2017 Good performance today with everyone playing their part. 10 days until out next match so plenty of time to get some new players in and up to speed in training. RE: WBA vs Sunderland - Match Thread - Mosestheballwinner - 21-01-2017 Gotta give TP credit. We don't have a great record against teams we should beat. He got it right today. Oooooh I was once through on goal with only the keeper beat. Rewind a few seconds and the ball hits me in the nuts during a challenge with the centre half. I crumpled in a heap on the edge of the box. Hydes Road has many miserable memories for me ? RE: WBA vs Sunderland - Match Thread - Beefy 1965 - 21-01-2017 That was easy enough eased of in the 2nd half, Chadli looked much better Sunderland were poor, Looked doomed, Wonder if Moyes will be the next manager to fall to the Albion Jinx, You know not just this window but in the summer let's say 5 additions with more youth and we could have a good team, Were ok at the moment , the signs are promising RE: WBA vs Sunderland - Match Thread - BaggieMan - 21-01-2017 Agree Beefy... reckon they are the worst team we've played so far this season and they are doomed although, they have a lucky knack of escaping relegation by the skin of their teeth. Nice four point gap between us and Sjoke City/Shammers. May it get bigger each week with only eight points needed for safety. Still think we have to address striker, centre and full back and another attacking midfielder but suppose all of that won't happen until summer window. Anichebe is injured for them which is a shame. I think we have to accept that Defoe will score and we'll need to score 2 to win. Jinx over We played well enough and I thought Phillips looked excellent at times, absolute beauty from Brunty as well. Hopefully we can carry this form into our next few games, as they're all against teams below us in the table. |
