RE: F1 Prediction Game (Interforum League) 2016 - Amelia Chaffinch - 03-05-2016 I'd love to say it's skill but definitely down to luck! RE: F1 Prediction Game (Interforum League) 2016 - pob - 12-05-2016 Red bull have switched Kvyat and Verstappen from the next race. If you haven't read the email from zdkf1, for this race at least, if you want to predict Kvyat you need to choose Verstappen and vice versa. If anyone doesn't read this or the email before the deadline, and want their choice of Kvyat to actually mean Kvyat or their choice of Verstappen to actually mean Verstappen, just say on here. RE: F1 Prediction Game (Interforum League) 2016 - St Charles Owl - 12-05-2016 Not sure we should be picking either of them currently but thanks for the update. RE: F1 Prediction Game (Interforum League) 2016 - pob - 17-05-2016 Spain Results Thankfully the confusion over how to choose Verstappen or Kvyat hasn't affected the results much. Here's the top 10: Code: pos nickname forum points The zdkf1 website is super slow at the moment ; if anyone has trouble posting their prediction for Monaco, post it here instead. The deadline for Monaco is one day earlier than normal , on Wednesday evening instead of Thursday. Race recaps: (sorry I haven't been keeping up with these) China: The stupid new qualifying system finally abandoned and a great race with loads of action (161 overtakes) but amazingly no retirements. Rosberg won easily again; Vettel and Hamilton coming back through the field to take 2nd and 7th respectively. Kvyat on the podium for Red Bull in third. Russia: I felt this race was ruined by Pirelli going extremely conservative with their tyre compound choices and minimum pressures. Rosberg with his seventh victory in a row. Hamilton finished second and Raikkonen third. Vettel was taken out by a double collision with Kvyat on the opening lap. Kvyat was subsequently demoted to Toro Rosso (the Red Bull junior team), although this switch was probably planned before the incident in this race. Spain: Rosberg and Hamilton collide on the opening lap paved the way for a tense and tactical race for the win between Red Bull and Ferrari. Verstappen emerging victorious on his debut for Red Bull, becoming easily the youngest grand prix winner at just 18 years old. He held off Raikkonen, both on 2-stop strategies. Vettel and Ricciardo tusseled over third place, both on 3-stop strategies, Ricciardo faster but unable to get past, and then he picked up a puncture so had to to settle for fourth. RE: F1 Prediction Game (Interforum League) 2016 - pob - 25-05-2016 Less than 7 hours until the deadline , if you miss it remember that slightly late predictions can be emailed to support@zdkf1.com and will be included at zdkf1's discretion but if you post them on here too I will at least include them towards the league. It's still the case that you need to select Kvyat if you want to predict Verstappen and vice versa. If you want your prediction of Verstappen to actually mean Verstappen and/or your prediction of Kvyat to actually mean Kvyat then you need to say on here. RE: F1 Prediction Game (Interforum League) 2016 - pob - 26-05-2016 The deadline has been extended until Friday evening. Riccardo performed brilliantly all weekend only to be robbed of the win for Red Bull when his tyres weren't ready at a pitstop. This gifted the win to Hamilton & Mercedes, but even then there was intrigue as to whether Hamilton's ultrasoft tyres would last to the end of the race. Monaco specialist Sergio Perez was an excellent third for Force India, at one stage it looked like he would even be able to challenge for the win. Vettel was fourth for Ferrari. Alonso a good fifth for McLaren. Championship leader Rosberg had a bad race: he was slow in the wet to the point of having to allow his teammate Hamilton to pass him. He was passed by Hulkenburg on the final lap, leaving Rosberg in a lowly seventh place. |
