Poor mans Bryan Robson always will be, very decent but not outstanding
He`s a Liverpool legend because most of their fans cant remember how good they used to be
Not as tough as Ray Kennedy or Souness
Not as good passer as Whelan, Souness or Molby
Not as all round as Callaghan or Nicol
There was another forum saking the greatest Liverpool 11 in Gerrards time which given the answers shows the attention span of the average Liverpool fan as it included Riera, Glenn Johnson and such including thinking Jamie Redknapp was a winger!

I posted on another thread that its now 25 years since Liverpool won the title!!! I remember them giving stick to MU fans for them not winning it for 26 years. Shows how poor they have been over those years and for me the top 4 are still some distance ahead of them. Gerrard suffered by being surrounded by some real crap, but maybe his presence also stopped other players rising to the occasion.

People grumbled about how much Man Utd spent in the summer but lets be honest how much will it cost for Liverpool to truly replace Gerrard or Man Utd to replace Scholes/Giggs?
