Shrewsbury Town have taken central defender Joe Anderson on a season-long loan from Sunderland and signed former Wolves midfielder Taylor Perry.
Anderson, 22, has made four first-team appearances for Sunderland.
"It is definitely the right club for me to come to for the next stage of my career," he told the Shrews website.
Perry, also 22, has been signed on a two-year contract after impressing during a trial. He was recently released by Wolves.
Head coach Matt Taylor said: "This will be a big season for Joe and will hopefully be his breakthrough year in men's football.
"Taylor has been training with us for two weeks now and has shown excellent quality during that period.
"He has a very good understanding of how we want to play and adds quality to an already talented midfield."

Shrewsbury Town have signed New Zealand striker Max Mata from League of Ireland side Sligo Rovers on a three-year deal, subject to international clearance.
The 23-year-old, who has seven senior All Whites caps, has scored 11 goals in 23 games for Sligo this season.
Mata started his career in his native New Zealand but also played in Switzerland, Estonia, and America before moving to Ireland.
Boss Matt Taylor said they "fought off" a host of clubs to sign Mata.
"He has exceptional footballing intelligence, scores a variation of goals and is hungry to fulfil his potential," Taylor told the club website.
"I'm excited for the fans to see him in a Shrewsbury Town shirt. He is of course very talented but more importantly, he's the right type of person to fit within the group."

Shrewsbury Town have made two signings by bringing in ex-Walsall, Mansfield and Port Vale defender Mal Benning plus New Zealand striker Max Mata from League of Ireland side Sligo Rovers.
Benning, 29, had been in talks over a new deal at Shrews' fellow League One side Vale after two seasons in Burslem.
He has signed a one-year deal, while Mata arrives on a three-year contract, subject to international clearance.
The 23-year-old has scored 11 goals in 23 games for Sligo this season.
Mata, who has seven senior caps for the All Whites, started his career in his native New Zealand but also played in Switzerland, Estonia and America before moving to Ireland.
Benning needs to play just seven more games to reach 400 senior appearances in a career that began at Walsall and also included two months on loan at York before moving on to Mansfield in 2015.
Shrewsbury, 12th in League One last season, have had a major summer upheaval, having parted company with manager Steve Cotterill, chief executive Brian Caldwell, and brought in Micky Moore as their first director of football, Matt Taylor as head coach and Marcus Bignot as his number two.
They have now made 11 signings heading into Saturday's opening game at home to Cheltenham Town.

Shrewsbury have signed Huddersfield striker Kieran Phillips on a season-long loan from Huddersfield.
The 23-year-old previously played under Town boss Matt Taylor at Walsall in 2021/22.
Taylor told the club website: "There was a lot of competition for him from teams higher in the league than we are, but Kieran's chosen to come here."
Phillips came through the ranks at Everton's academy before joining the Terriers in 2020 after a loan spell.
Taylor said: "He'll give us a different dynamic up front. He'll score goals without a problem. I'm really excited to work with him. I think the fans will be excited by him. He's a really good signing for us."
Phillips - who played with new teammates Morgan Feeney and Joe Anderson while at Everton - said: "Matt Taylor was a massive draw in me coming here. When he first got the job it spiked my interest straight away. I enjoyed working with him at Walsall.
"I want to score as many goals as possible, help the lads out and win as many games as we can."

Shrewsbury Town have signed Hull City's Brandon Fleming on a season-long loan.
The 23-year-old wing-back is available to be involved in boss Matt Taylor's squad for Saturday's trip to Carlisle.
Fleming, who has made 45 appearances for the Tigers, has had three loan spells away from the Championship club - at non-league Gainsborough Trinity, Bolton Wanderers and Oxford United.
Fleming will help cover for Jordan Shipley, who has been ruled out for three months with a knee injury.
Shipley was injured in last week's 1-0 win at Fleetwood.
Head coach Matt Taylor said: "The recruitment strategy has changed due to injuries in the squad so we're really pleased to sign a player of Brandon's experience.
"He's an attack-minded left wing-back with experience of both the Championship and League One."

League One side Shrewsbury Town have re-signed centre-back Aaron Pierre on a contract until mid-January.
The 30-year-old made 99 appearances for the club in his previous spell, between 2019 and 2022, before joining Sutton.
Former Northampton and Wycombe defender Pierre spent the second half of last season with AFC Wimbledon, playing 11 times before turning down a new deal.
"I can't wait to make up for lost time and get that 100th [Shrewsbury] game under my belt," he said.
Pierre has been signed as cover for Morgan Feeney, who will be out for up to six weeks with a hamstring injury, and was named on the bench for the Shrews' game at Cambridge United on Saturday.

On-loan defender Lewis Macari has made his move to Notts County from Championship side Stoke City permanent.
The 21-year-old has made 10 appearances for Notts since arriving on loan in the summer, and has now signed a deal until the end of the 2026-27 season.
League Two side Notts initially signed Macari when Geraldo Bajrami suffered a season-ending knee injury.
"This club's on the up and I wanted to be someone who could help take it forward," Macari said.
Talking to BBC Radio Nottingham, the defender added: "I feel properly part of the team now and I'm really happy to be staying permanently.
"I'd been at Stoke a long time, and I can't thank everyone there enough for everything they've done for me, but the time has come to move away and take my first proper steps into men's football.
"I know I've got to kick on from here now."
The Scot, who is the grandson of former Manchester United midfielder and Stoke boss Lou Macari, made just one senior appearance for Stoke, which came in the FA Cup last season.

Injured Shrewsbury Town defender George Nurse has signed a new deal with the League One club, even though he might not kick another ball this season.
The 24-year-old wing-back is out with the second of two anterior cruciate ligament knee injuries - but he has put pen to paper on a two-year contract.
"It's been a tough couple of seasons so to cement myself here for a few more years is fantastic," he said.
"This contract is a reward for all his hard work," added boss Matt Taylor.
"It shows just how much we value him. It shows as a football club we are committed to doing the right thing.
"The one thing we knew would happen with George is that he was going to be tested mentally because it's the second time he's had the injury. But he's been really resolute and every day at the training ground he has got a smile on his face."
Shrewsbury have also confirmed that they have ended wing-back Elliot Thorpe's loan from Premier League side Luton Town because of the recurrence of a back injury.
Town, who face an FA Cup third-round derby tie at home to big-spending League Two side Wrexham this Sunday, are 13th in League One.

Shrewsbury Town have made their first January window signing by clinching the deadline-day arrival of midfielder Jack Hinchy on loan from Premier League club Brighton.
The 21-year-old has moved to Shropshire for the rest of the season to become Paul Hurst's first signing since re-joining the League One club.
Hinchy joined Brighton from then non-league Stockport in September 2021.
He made his first-team debut in the EFL Cup last season against Forest Green.
Hinchy also came off the bench in the Seagulls' FA Cup third-round win at Stoke in January.
"This is a great opportunity for Jack to be involved regularly in a senior first-team environment," said Brighton technical director David Weir.
"As our under-21s captain he's been really important in the team that reached the quarter-finals of the EFL Trophy. Now it's about taking that next step on his development pathway."
Shrewsbury, 15th in League One and six points clear of trouble, play their next game on Saturday at home to Cambridge United, who are a place below them.
Town, the joint lowest scorers in the EFL, also made an attempt to sign young Wolves striker Nathan Fraser earlier in the window, prior to the sacking of head coach Matt Taylor.

Shrewsbury forward Max Mata has joined Irish Premier League side Sligo Rovers on loan until the end of the season.
The move is a return to Sligo for the 23-year-old, having played for the Connacht club from February 2022 until he joined Shrewsbury in the summer.
The New Zealand international has made 26 appearances for Shrewsbury but has only scored once in League One, against Port Vale in November.
Shrewsbury are four points above the drop zone and host Wigan on Saturday.
