RE: 2016 (18th June) - WBA Summer Transfer Window - talkSAFT - 20-06-2016 Trouble is: QPR will laugh that offer off, and wait to see how this summer's Inflation will hit the market. I think last year's £4m will be £8m this year. If we'd offered (say) 6, the deal could be done now - then we can move on and target players that fit in with Phillips. As much as I like Phillips, I do hope we are aiming a bit higher than building a team around him. Better news today Morrison deal as good as done and should be announced this week. (B Mail & E&S) Substantial pay rise for JM. Good news "if true". Will be interesting to see what the effect of the 'new money' will be on the value of someone like Phillips as mentioned above, who has only a year left on his existing contract. I suppose we've got to start somewhere, but it WOULD be good to finally get him and then move on to other targets. Over to you, Mr Hammond. RE: 2016 (20th June) - WBA Summer Transfer Window - Stairs - 20-06-2016 Hal Robson-Kanu - http://readwestbrom.com/2016/06/20/albion-join-aston-villa-celtic-race-sign-forward/ RE: 2016 (20th June) - WBA Summer Transfer Window - talkSAFT - 20-06-2016 2 Albion Greats - Robson and Kanu. Here's a player who's been around for a while, playing in the lower leagues and, it would seem on whom Reading are not prepared to take a punt. He scores the winner for Wales v Russia and then does nothing v England except be fouled by Rooney for Wales' goal. Based upon this we are now "interested" in him. Is the level to which we have now sunk? A non-entity available on the cheap! RE: 2016 (20th June) - WBA Summer Transfer Window - St Charles Owl - 20-06-2016 I would be disappointed if we were in for Robson-Kanu, let's alone you guys in the Prem!!!! Isn't there a Hal Allen-Astle-Regis-Taylor-Brown out there we could go for instead? RE: 2016 (20th June) - WBA Summer Transfer Window - Beefy 1965 - 20-06-2016 £4 Million bid for Phillips and James morrison close to new deal John Percy usually very reliable ....... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/06/19/west-brom-manager-tony-pulis-targets-queens-park-rangers-4m-wing/? RE: 2016 (20th June) - WBA Summer Transfer Window - GlassEyedBomber - 20-06-2016 Hal would be an amazing free agent signing...pleeeeeeeease let this be true! |
