Looks like we have missed out on Ba! Let's hope there is a plan B.

Ba has chosen to play in China then.
Looks like we have swerved signing another money grabbing mercenary.
Am starting to get a bit twitchy though...

Good. Don`t rate him. DD Doh Doh

RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window - BaggieMan - 28-06-2015

DD
Although an exciting prospect, I also had concerns over BA.
1) Why were the Turks so obviously keen to move him on, and
2) He failed a medical when Sjoke were on the point of signing him having a dodgy knee that could end his career anytime. It would have been just our luck to splash out £10m and find he was a crock.

Can anyone explain that with the transfer window not yet open, how come we read all these reports saying X club have signed X player and so on. For instance, how have we been able to sign McClean when the window isn't open? Is it an out of contract thing or what?

Huh

RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window - Stairs - 28-06-2015

Clubs can agree deals and sign 'pre-agreements' but nothing can happen yet.  That said, many of these 'deals' are real and it does get frustrating not to see us engaged in the same way.

The Ba deal was real it seems and so that does show we are active, even if we lost out (Not too concerned with the player involved).  But we do know that West Brom are very secretive with their dealings and there is every expectation that we will announce something not associated with anything I have added to the thread.

In many ways, I wonder why I bother   Laugh Huh

Gutted to miss out on Ba. Got pretty much a goal every other game his whole career, strong in the
air, scores goals out of nothing. Proven strikers at this level are like gold dust and think we should've
pushed the boat out.

The medical thing would be a worry, but lets face it, the likes of Paul Robinson (our ex left back) and
Ricardo Fuller never passed a medical, yet played well into their 30s without missing any games injured.
While Owen Hargreaves, passed medical after medical and never was fit for more than a game. Ba doesn't
have a track record of injuries so that wouldn't of bothered me.

Hope I'm wrong, but guess our plan B will be scratting around in the Championship...
