But that's because he is Trump Owlskev and he can't help it. He is who he is. Imagine him with the nuclear code in his hand, pacing around the Oval Office in a tizz. Doesn't bear thinking about.

I'm sure the real people in charge would make sure he had some sort of accident long before that scenario came to pass Cool

Accident??? A bit like what happened to JFK, that kind of accident!!!!

I'm watching him on TV right now at a Florida rally. He rants and raves like a delusional lunatic. He says he has a poll that shows him winning.

RE: Thread For Anything But Football - St Charles Owl - 24-10-2016

I have half a feeling that this election will be closer than the polls are suggesting!! A lot of Republicans will either stay away or begrudgingly vote for Trump, but very few will vote for Hillary. But when you ask people about who they are voting for, a lot of Trump's likely voters will not actually admit to supporting him to a pollster!! That concerns me!! If the Hispanic vote turns out though, she will win but again they are notoriously bad at voting at all, so somehow Hillary has to get them to the voting booth.

Personally I think this is probably the worst ever choice that Americans have ever had for a presidential election, its going to be a case of voting for the candidate you dislike and distrust the least, and that is a sad state of affairs!!

Be careful with those polls, they got it wrong with the Referendum result.

You live in the States, SCO, so your perspective may have more to it than mine. Maybe I've been watching too much CNN, but I think Trump is going down to a devastating (for him) defeat, dragging a lot of Senators with him. The Senate will go back to the Dems, even the House could. Trump appeals to a rump of white, uneducated, mostly males. Beyond that base, he has no appeal. He's lost the women's vote and they tend to vote in larger proportion than men. His behavior disgusts most people and the policies that he lays out are unacceptable to most.

But, what I've found especially perplexing about this whole business is not so much Trump. History is littered with demagogues like him. But why FFS do all these people support him? My only explanation is that he has the appeal and power over his supporters of a cult leader. A latter day Jim Jones.

I just hope the Dems don't get too complacent and that they get their vote out, but barring that, I see Hillary a clear winner.

Its a postal ballot in WA so I've just filled mine out and will drop it off at the auditors office collection box later. Unfortunately I live in a strong Republican area but the state results are dominated by the population of the SeaTac area and King County so we should be safe from WW III !!!
