RE: 2014 Transfer Window: (Jan 7) Swapsies and more - Stairs - 08-01-2015 Got it - thanks RE: 2014 Transfer Window: (Jan 7) Swapsies and more - Stairs - 08-01-2015 Tottenham winger Andros Townsend insists he does not want to leave White Hart Lane during the transfer window by saying: “I’m a Spurs boy. I’ve been at the club since the age of eight.” Not saying he is coming to us but that sort of comment tends to come back and bite. He has no real say in his future at Spurs, if the club wants to sell him, then he's gone RE: 2014 Transfer Window: (Jan 8) Defender latest - aries22 - 08-01-2015 Selling Saido Berahino would be a massive mistake. He will mature and learn from his mistakes and will be a great goalscorer for Albion in the next two or three seasons. People go on about his sulks and his attitude, but as long as he's doing it on the pitch, I couldn't care less. RE: 2014 Transfer Window: (Jan 8) Defender latest - drewks - 08-01-2015 Yeh, tbh I agree Aires. I HAVE been critical of him in the past - his apparent attitude, sulks, etc - but I guess that's part of the player that we all rate, and he's SUCH an improved player over the last 12 months. Definitely hope we keep him and he continues to steadily improve as I think he's the type of player that will ALWAYS score goals - and there certainly aren't many of those around RE: 2014 Transfer Window: (Jan 8) Defender latest - Baggievicar - 08-01-2015 I know it's all gossip and rumour and generally a load of pony, but I'm a bit bothered how many Championship and SPL players are being mentioned. None of the Champ ones are firing their teams up the table, so far as I can see. RE: 2014 Transfer Window: (Jan 8) Defender latest - aries22 - 08-01-2015 It's all it is atm, Vicar - gossip and rumour. TP will see that Albion have got at least a good first-team squad and that players from Dundee, Celtic or Bolton are hardly going to improve it. As for any of our players that are outside the first-team squad, let's get shot of them if they're not rated, but let's bring in real quality players - spend our money more wisely than we perhaps have done in the past. More tea, Vicar? RE: 2014 Transfer Window: (Jan 8) Defender latest - Baggievicar - 08-01-2015 (08-01-2015, 17:39)aries22 Wrote: It's all it is atm, Vicar - gossip and rumour. Ooh, don't mind if I do - and perhaps a cucumber sandwich. Thanks ever so much. RE: 2014 Transfer Window: (Jan 8) Defender latest - silverbaggie - 09-01-2015 Being reported that Brown Ideye is interesting three clubs, namely Newcastle, Sunderland and Hull but, no offers made as yet. Would we be correct to sell him and how much of our £10M can we be expected to recoup? RE: 2014 Transfer Window: (Jan 8) Defender latest - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 09-01-2015 As long as Pulis can use him, then Ideye deserves the chance to play in a different system and under a different coach. His movement off the ball is good - there's clearly talent in him - it's just his finishing letting him down at the moment, and that can potentially change. If he can get that one good game where things click for him, we could see a new, confident player. Obviously if TP wants rid then it's a moot point, and we'll just have to hope there's a promising replacement lined up. RE: 2014 Transfer Window: (Jan 8) Defender latest - JH Baggie - 09-01-2015 You just know we'll let Ideye go to another PL club and he'll come good! |
